Unfortunately a lot of the new technology is making drivers dumber.

:canada: We have been getting a lot of the smoke from the fires . Is the end nearing ???? I surely hope not, still got places to go and things to do :D

Did you know in some states you don't even have to speak enlish to get a license . The new GMC comercial for th self drive is a bit iresponsible as the driver and passenger are playing pattie-cake with themselves .

Good morning all. Have a great day!

Not sure when they will get a handle on the fires in Canada. I've seen news articles that both North Dakota and Minnesota have sent help as I'm sure other states as well. I hope they can get it under control soon.

No worries. Let the person that has never made a mistake cast the first stone.

    :(:(:(:(:( LOL Good Morning Kurt.

To a certain extent. I would bet that all of your suspension and steering components are made using the best metals available, since it seems like most of the parts are custom made. And I doubt if you use older technology in your tire and brake setups. But I do like to see the older cars racing on a track and I always enjoy your photos. I hope your team does well this season.

I would like to see two of that type emoji's one a push mower and the other a zero turn mower.

Good morning. Easy day today. I need to clean the oven, easy job, and season a new set of grates for the bottom shelf in the smoker. Actually, I plan on doing a deep clean of the smoker today. Tonight will be a bacon wrapped pork loin in the smoker.

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue! Off in a bit to try a new little car show up in Manor. Which used to be a little town outside the city, but now it's just a name in Austin. Turns out to be about 3 miles from where the other show in Pflugerville is. Which used to be a little town outside....

    Good Morning Porch Folks.

Hot and humid again today. Heading to the local VFW with 3 American flags to be retired. To many folks don't know about the proper way to retire them :oldglory:and just throw them in the trash . No respect.

Have a good day and stay hydrated....and take care of that swamp azz Buck :thumbsup:

There's a good sized show today about 5 miles away.
It's along the inside of one of the harbors with ZERO shade anywhere.
    I'll pass.
90's with high humidity in a triple black car with heat coming from the headers don't mix well.:humble:

Years ago I saw a hydration product in an Asian Market. I think the direct translation to English lost something important.
It was called "Pocari Sweat". I should have bought one.

Well, it was an adventure of sorts! The Donut place didn't exist in Garmin, so I used the address that did. But, had the FB directions on my phone in case, since that was "from the donut place site". Got to my last major turn - one said EAST, one said WEST. Well, I guess I will trust the donut places own site. Wrong. Nothing there. Had to go over the HIGHEST FREAKING FLYOVER in the world, which I hate, just to get turned around.
Hey, I need gas anyway, here's a cheap Shell. Well, on the pump is 15 cents HIGHER than the sign, but WTF. Insert my Shell card for my 5 cent discount, and it drops from $3.15 to $2.86! WTF, but sure! Now lets follow the Garmin East, and see what we get. Well, there we go. So, let's park and go to the show!

    20230708_104048.jpg

    And our host, Bill.

    20230708_104030.jpg
    20230708_104339.jpg

And THAT, was the whole show. Until "Betty" (the car) showed up. So, we'll give her the feature!

It seems that someone hacked the FB Event that Bill had posted. His was from 8-11. The other, 10-1! I clicked going on both, and decided not to rush. So, the show was mostly over by the time I found it, and it was PLENTY HOT in that parking lot already. I talked with Bill a while, then decided to head home. I was going to run over to Buda to get a price on tint, but decided not to, and check out a place here first.

    20230708_121007.jpg

And soon, the rest of the story!

And now for, "the rest of the story!" Nap time!

There's really only one place in Lockhart for tint any more, and they are always hopping busy. But, I thought I'd see what I could get locally first, because out of town, "leave it for a day" is a pain in the...

    20230708_121020.jpg

Need the ancient front window tint removed, want legal ceramic on those, and the rest of the factory smoke with ceramic - more for the UV and heat than privacy. Guy quotes me $350, which was much less than a couple on-line inquires, asked me when I'm planning on doing it. "Maybe next two weeks". "Want it today? Take about 2 hours". "Let me call the wife to come get me!"

And two hours, to the minute! It's done. Not crime limo dark, but we have an overactive Constable here in town anyway. Now I go make some Phillies.

Looks great. Cops around hear don't even take a second look at tint. They're riding dirty with their tint too...but go west over the bridge and CHP will be eyeballing you.

I developed an allergy to the sun a few years ago and had my doctor write me a prescription for dark tint. Thankfully the allergy ceased being a problem after several years. I don't like dark tint, preferring a medium UV tint, and was very happy to go back to a lighter tint.
