Looking for some help troubleshooting why my truck (2008 DCLB 4.0L 232k miles) is only running a couple seconds before stalling. If I try giving it gas while it’s running it will only die faster. I just replaced the AC system (A/C compressor, condenser, evaporator and all lines). Prior to taking the dash apart the truck ran great. I have check the fuel pump, cleaned the MAF sensor. I felt confident about the job I did taking the dash apart marking connections and grounds I had to remove. I am thinking I may have missed something? Can anyone help me narrow my search? Thanks.

    Have you checked for codes?

No Check engine light and nothing on my cheap scanner. I have a buddy with a diagnostic coming to help see if there is a code.

Is the fuel pump resistor in front of the battery plugged in?

I took the dash apart again. Turns out the ECU immobilizer did NOT get plugged back in. ‍♂️ It hides right behind the steering wheel on the fire wall. I feel like an idiot. I got it plugged back in and the truck is now running like a champ!

Hey I've seen photos of the dashboards removed here, I think Dm93 has done it. That has to be quite a daunting task. Great you found the trouble! With everything that needs to be disconnected/reconnected, I'd think there a good chance to miss something.

Now you can say you've done it twice! Also good job replacing the evaporator, you saved yourself big time labor costs.
