Other than the tiny wheels and chin spoiler, I actually like this thank god. It looks about a 1000# lighter than the TH and PRo shown so far. Sport looked chunky as well.

The weird creases and stuff I will have to see in person before I judge. The photos of the Tundra looked weird as hell, but in person it somehow works out ok, except for the giant grille with gianter Chrome surround. That's still hideous.

The sensor is now mounted under the front grill between the fogs which will complicate things a little.

The cheap lens is totally distorting things, look at the 3rd gen headlight and wheel. It looks like its running 285's :)

I thought the headlights looked like cheap aftermarket 3g headlights.

The rear tail lights and tailgate have similar design elements as the old 90's Toyota trucks. I like it.

Although it would probably not be a deal breaker, I just don't link the recessed sheet metal they incorporated over the wheel arches of the Tundra and Tacoma. I've seen many Tundras close up and it just does not work--at least for me. The black overfenders for the TH and Pro offset this issue to some extent. The front end is certainly better on the Tacoma than it is on the Tundra. Frankly, I would not buy a Tundra because of that dorky grille.

It does? Guess I don’t see it. 4G looks like a hot mess with all that weird creasing. Maybe the reverse light in the center, is all about I can see.

Overall it’s handsome enough to sell well. Right-size the wheel/tire package on this SR5 and it’s arguably a sleeker looking truck than Pro/TH. You never want to be the one driving the ugly truck, and given some time to digest, I don’t think the looks here will embarrass any owners at all. Faint praise I know, but only so much you can get from photos.

Huge credit to Toyota for not going full clean sheet Tundra, as the most successful design elements on the new truck are adapted from Gen3, and maybe not surprising, the items people seem to want to debate the most are clearly Tundra inspired.

Speaking of, the tailgate on Tundra literally looks like some kitchen appliance designers who had never seen a truck tailgate before were handed a written description of one, and asked to draw what it would look like.

I haven’t been inside one, but I don’t mind them with aftermarket bumpers (the OEM inline steel is pointless imo). I’d rather have a solid axle Rubicon (again), but that’s me.

Just got back for Myrtle last night. It’s weird how different parts of the US have different vehicles. I saw so few Toyotas that I nearly forgot they existed. Tons of Fords and GMs, with Wranglers sprinkled in. Far cry from when I was living in California or Hawaii where 7/10 vehicles were Toyota, and like a Tacoma.

Did see a rigged out GX470 on the way home. Looked awesome. Boys asked when I can do that to my truck.. lol

Co-worker of mine traded their Wrangler Unlimited for one, likes the Bronco much better. Prefer SFA myself, I drove it, the Ford rides awfully nice. That engine can actually get out of its own way too, unlike the Jeep. They had nothing but problems (mainly electrical) with the Wrangler only had 30K miles on it too.

Love the idea of the Wrangler, unfortunate that Toyota refuses to compete, think they would sell like hot cakes. Even my wife who has little to no interest in vehicles, saw a Bronco and said “I’d drive the shit out if that! Why doesn’t Toyota do the same?” Don’t know honey, yet another one of life’s mysteries….ya know we could sell the Toyotas and buy Fords…(she says stick with Toyota, not sure why, she isn’t the one fixing the damn things) though she about threw up a little in her mouth when she saw the Tundras at the dealer the other day. What in the actual fuck is that!? She proclaimed… And that is from a non car person. Lol!

The Bronco is the most appealing SUV imo, just for the short wheel base. Don't need an SUV for passenger room, and don't really need an off road vehicle. I drive all day at work in all weather conditions, doing that for recreation does not appeal to me. Never cared for the look of a Jeep, can't believe Jeep still designs those things the way they do, maybe the Jeep trend is fadding looking at there sales numbers. I like Jeeps for there capability, and if you own Jeep that is still mechanically sound why would you replace it for another one? Another reason sales number are where they are, lots of other SUV and CUV options out there the majority of Jeep sales are 4dr. I'd only buy a Bronco as a 2nd vehicle or an OR vehicle and I don't need either. I might buy a Bronco as an only vehicle, but they do lack in utility. The most practical vehicle for myself would be a midsize 2dr pick up truck, preferably 4x4 that could be styled as an offroader. Yet there is no manufacturer that sells one in the US.

Looks more like an International Scout to me than a Bronco, but do love vintage vehicles, so it works style wise for me. Since it is just my wife and I, a truck and a SUV works very well for us. She uses it more as a utility vehicle as we rarely haul passengers, most of the stuff she has to haul can’t get wet, toppers on a truck always seem to leak. 4 door SUV makes it easier to toss stuff in and out. Those little city cargo vans actually make more sense for her, unfortunately no one makes them in AWD.

That 2D Bronco, is just soooo right. Even in yellow, and I typically don’t like yellow vehicles. Look at the ground clearance on that, hard pressed to get that on a Tacoma without major modifications. The Bronco is available like that from the factory.

Actually love the look of Jeeps, considered a Gladiator but no 6’ bed. Do like the 2D Bronco, just doesn’t have enough cargo room, we use the hell out of our vehicles. Would be great as a run around play vehicle, but I just got rid of our 3rd vehicle because I am tired of maintaining 3 vehicles. Used to maintain a fleet of trucks, vans, fork lifts and earth moving equipment for our business, completely over it. Older I get the simpler I want to live.

Loved that Jeep J-12/Nukizer concept they did years ago, but I am a sucker for retro/vintage.

My Rubicon on stock 33s had no problem getting out of its way, but it was also a two door.

Only issue I had on mine electrical wise was when I installed an auto start stop eliminator. It tripped up the security gateway and threw a shutoff warning on the dash. Once I removed it, I never got the warning back. I’ve found that electrical problems impact all autos. BSM on the third gen I had stopped working after I hit a pot hole, for instance

Bronco is a road car that can go off road. I tried to get her to drive one before she got her Lincoln but she didn’t want something that aggressive looking (and she wanted lane centering..). If she had driven one, she’d own one. She really liked her Cherokee and just wanted something a little nicer.

Toyota ending the FJ baffles me. FJ in cav blue with the grey simulated beads is beautiful.

Hers was on 37s, even with a regear it was a slug.

Never had any electrical issues on my Toyotas other than a fuel pumps and alternators, but wore out after 250K miles, which isn’t bad. Now mechanical stuff, well…have a very long list of repairs for those.

Do like those Grand Cherokees, for a modern vehicle they aren’t bad. Lines are clean, and not trying too hard. Buddy’s wife has one and loves it.

Never cared for the FJ Cruiser, thing looked like a hot mess to me, Toyota just can’t do retro for some reason. Toyota give us a modern 40 series, how hard can it be? Look a modern chassis and drivetrain, classic body. It isn’t rocket surgery…for cripes sake! lol!

The problem with FJs (we owned 3) is that everyone who wanted one, bought one in 2008-2011 or so. By 2013 sales we so low it wasn't viable. Mind you, when we all went to replace our FJs in the latter part of the 20-teens, we were disappointed, but alas.

At the risk of repeating myself, I'd love to see a modern FJ (two-door SUV with serious off-road chops) but my guess is that after the new 4Runner comes out, the next "truck" from Toyota is going to look a lot more like the Maverick than the Bronco.

Toyota can't seem to grasp the concept of conservative styling. Look at the 4g Tacoma all those creases in the sheet metal, why? I can over look it if it proves to be a decent truck, but there's no reason for the crazy design language.

There was this rendering, actually like it. The original FJ Cruiser not so much.

Think they were conservative for so long, now they are over compensating.

I built a 2dr on line and only added a rear locker some how it also got 35" tires. The price went up to about $50k.
