My son wrecked my truck when he was in high school. He totaled the lady’s car and she supposedly had $97k in medical bills. Allstate paid everything and it had little affect on my premiums.

I can’t speak for other areas, but homeowners never goes down. It’s inevitable regardless of claims. I’m in hurricane territory and mine has nothing but went up. I’ve only claimed for 3 storms, all wind/rain damage (no flood)… it’s probably gone up 400-600% over 20 years. Not related to my claims… but overall risk.

    Here is how it works:
Insurance takes your $1 and invests it to make $1.20
    They pay $1.10 in claims
They pay $.02 In over insurance (insuring themselves for BIG hits (natural disasters))
They make $.08 profit (.03 dividend, .02 overhead, .03 amortized future losses)
    It’s a game of numbers… it’s why they employ actuarials/actuaries.
They have already predicted how many claims you will make and for how much.
You’re either proving them wrong or proving them right.

Oh, sorry wrong color. I gave you the down size (Navy Blue). I guess you should keep going that direction? Maybe that CoastGuard Red?
The much larger was the AirForce Blue. Again, sorry.
