Fortunate timing for a screwed up timing day! I was really just planning to get started on planning!

    Good Morning Porchies.
Race weekend weather was horribly hot and humid. We were dumping water on drivers.
Really bad. Even guys with cool suits had problems.
I’ve never felt so uncomfortable. But I handled it better than most.
That being said, the racing was even hotter. The past two months, has been the most satisfying racing for us ever. We absolutely killed it. We were the top dog of the weekend. There were 5 cars that were actually “in our class” in the group and we had some awesome racing. Bob has really amped up his driving aggressiveness this year.Pushing harder and giving me feedback. We won all our races. It was just amazing to watch it unfold. So proud of him.

Tint shop did nice work for you. In MD the tint laws for trucks, yes different than cars, is 35% light pass through on the drivers and front passengers windows. Any %cfor the other side and back windows. You are allowed a 5in visor of any % tint on the front window.

    @Tacoma Mike Nice pictures.

Good morning and a happy Sunday to everyone. Decided on leftovers for dinner last night so the bacon wrapped pork loin will be on Monday if I feel like doing it. Cleaned the oven yesterday which was a 6-hour process. It came out ok, but I was expecting better results. I have not been told the dinner plans for today, but I expect we will be going out for dinner and music. I am going to try and give the smoker a deep clean. Off to the gym in a few minutes.

Good morning Carl. Try to stay cool today. It is already warm and muggy here in Bowie, MD.

Good morning al ! Have a great day !

Mike how long of track do you run ? That area looks great. Congrats on the run. Most of the tracks in our area are 1/2 mile oval dirt.

Kurt sometimes things work out, makes you think a guardian angel is looking out for you. Couple nice pics.and a chance to meet someone new.

Tint looks good Kurt. We also have "Overactive Tint Checkers" around here. They even pull out a light meter to check the darkness :annoyed:. If you have a prescrition as @Travlr had you are okay.

:yay::yes: Good time racing. Working as a team pays off and communication is always the winning solution . Glad everyone survived the heat and humidity.

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue! Everybody sleeping in around here today. Fine with me! Just need to replace the hose reel out front with a new one, and putz some stuff.

I'm almost excited about the new tint being better as I am about getting rid of all the scratches and wear on the old! I could get darker, and probably have no issues - in San Antonio or Austin - this isn't even normal dark! I'm probably running less than most the cop Explorers. But we got this one jerk constable - stealth letter, tint, the whole shebang; he's always got someone pulled over for some equipment infraction. He wrote up a friend of my wife for no front plate a couple weeks ago in her Mustang. It's a newer one, with no good place for it. Cancer survivor with minimum hair left, and looking frail as can be. No warning.... he's not in my district, so I can't vote him out.

Now, THAT'S a great day at the races! Congratulations to you both! Sounds like the set up you had was best for the heat.
That track is also very impressive - I see they keep the cars on the racing surface! Unlike "pro" tracks!

    Nothing left but Putz now!

Only slow down was getting the old hose back into the reel for the last time, and none of the bolt holes for the mount were the same. Works much better again. The center part of the old one used to be bright green!

Old one still "worked", but retracting could be a challenge, a sometimes thing.

    Afternoon all:

I like the tint also Kurt, not a fan of the really dark tint though.

Been pouring here and a flash flood alert is in effect for areas just South of us, was a good day to get the coal stove ready for winter, just need to clean the pipe and put it back on, which is the last and easiest part of the job.

Well Kurt, it started raining and then it started pouring with thunder and lightning and because I don't have a roof over the deck, I ended up cooking this in the oven :annoyed:

    20230709_153214.jpg

Still was good but barbecue is better.:D
