    Wrapped my Cold Air Charge Pipe yesterday. The heat from the engine bay can warm up the the air enough sometimes for the computer to reduce timing which reduces power slightly. By wrapping it keeps the temps lower so on hot days it will take more for it to pull timing and also keeps the engine cooler. Also took the foam off the bottom of the engine cover to help keep it that much cooler. Already noticed it has more torque when its up to temp and its hot out! For $40 it was worth it :)

    It never ran "bad". Just an improvement in performance for cheap. I cpuld have bought an intercooler kit for $1300 and gotten even better results but thats definitely out of the picture.

    It's that way with many forced induction vehicles as they make a lot of heat. I read on some Camaro or race car forums that the guys were doing the same thing with good results.

    I take mine around the neighborhood and in the backyard mostly. Sometimes I take it on the road, not often though. I don't know of any tracks in my area unfortunately
