What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

I pulled my tail lights twice. Once to do the Meso Total Tail Stage 1, and again a year later when I decided to replace the tail lights altogether and go with the Form Lighting tail lights. Both times the "holder" for the lower post came off on both sides. The first time I just pulled them off the post on the tail lights and pushed them back into place. The second time the one on the left tail cracked and I had to run to the dealership and get a new one, which fortunately they had in stock (the counter guy said they break all the time). This is where my paranoia comes from LOL. The mirror caps wouldn't be as easy to replace.

 

I received my RCI roof rack over the weekend and installed it immediately, haha. I'm so stoked on how it turned out. Having my awning back will definitely come in handy for my upcoming trip to the beach. Cheers!

 

Yep, I get it. I replaced mine in the garage when it was a tad chilly and it went fine. Now if you let it sit outside in the summer sun for a bit things should be pretty pliable. Watch the DIY vids and you'll be good. Easy mod.

1st watch a video about taking apart the mirror housing. You could squirt a bit of dish soap where the catch tabs are to make it easier to separate. Also, do this when the plastic is warm. It will flex better.

 

You can also slam your mirror into a tree, it will also separate.

I don't recommend this method though.

ahh yeah, thats where i got my rings from. Thanks for the heads up, I’ll keep an eye on them. If worse comes to worse i wound mind getting the Meso or AJ Design rings that require the rings to be removed from the backside.

 

That’s pretty cool. Unrelated to the flatbed, how are you liking those Kenda’s?

 

I’ll take the risk. As mentioned before, I’ve seen more expired tags/temp plates here than anywhere else. And there are vehicles on the road I’ve seen with blacked out windshields. At least mine you can still see the headrests, me in the truck.

 

Kendas are sweet! I think they are just a solid balance between an AT and an MT, they are pretty quiet on road as well.

 

i appreciate it! The RTs are in my top 3 for my next set of tires so I always ask when I see people rocking them.

 

That is what I was trying to avoid doing

 

They are the 35 x 10.5s as well. I can't say I have noticed any difference going from 315s to 10.5s other than a lot more clearance haha

I agree. The parts department guys are jus plane too gat-damn lazy to install the mats. Then you gotta find a way to get em installed.
