    The bench is underway and after that I have a planter and raised bed to do.

    Also I had someone offer me a nice piece of furniture which they suggested I could restore and sell which sounds kinda interesting.

    I don't want to be a Debby Downer, but your fingers will thank me. I suggest looking into crafting yourself a router pin if you're going to be freehand routing like that without a fence. The board can kick out of your fingers and pull them into the spinney dangerous bit that doesn't distinguish between meaty finger and figured maple. Get yourself some push pads too, any will do. Just another layer of safety. Lastly, pick up a small patch of smooth laminate and contact cement that to the surface to help the wood glide across the tabletop. Just looking out.

    Edit: I bet a 3/8 dowel would work for a pin.
