LOL. You should have heard me arguing with first, the salesman, then he went and got a sales floor manager and I argued with him, then that guy went and got the General Manager. I told him I said look, I know ya'll are in business to make money, but I'm not paying for glass and fabric sealant. I know better and the fact that I have bought several cars from y'all and you still give me shit about it, you would think you would give up and stop trying to price gouge me. He said times have changed and each sale on "popular" vehicles needs to count these days. I told him fine and got up to leave. He stopped me and said can we at least agree on the extra for us putting the lift, wheels and tires on. I said sure, whatever your cost is plus pay the tech $150 for putting it on. If you can't do that price then I'm going home.

I left with the truck. (obviously) You just got to stand your ground. Their whole point is to make over MSRP, and anything over is a win for them.

$575 Dealer cost on the upgrades means the dealer is still getting his $5000 Market Value Adjustment. Rain-x on the windows, turtle wax on the paint, febreze on the fabric, apple air tag, $3 clear plastic protectant and shopping cart protection.

The best part is People will pay it.

It's a very solid piece. I really like the way the front fairing goes with the body lines. They are built to order so it takes about 4 weeks to get. Well worth the wait.

This is awesome. I have two small apache pelican style cases with some tools in each and was just brainstorming on where to mount them yet easily removable, above wells is a great location. Thanks for the idea

I had a similar experience with my Toyota sales agent when purchasing my 2017 TRD Access Cab.
They wanted to charge for the "glass etching" with security codes. I said," I didn't ask for that so I'm NOT paying for that". Also, said to not put any dealer identification on the truck before I pick it up. If I get good service then people will know. I'm not doing free advertising for them.

Helped my daughter get a new RAV4 XLE around Christmas. 95% of dealers wouldn't sell at msrp. Most wanted a non-refundable $1000 deposit. Most said they had some mandatory dealer add-ons. Finally found one, on an allocation list, around 200 miles away. Paid $1000 totally refundable deposit. Signed a buy order at msrp. When it arrived it had some added port/dealer features like all weather mats, tint and the nitrogen fill to the tires. They honored the msrp price to the penny. As long as people, i.e. idiots, continue to pay those ridiculous markups dealers will continue doing it. I have never paid full msrp in nearly 50 years of driving. I realize there is still a supply and demand issue but dealers selling at msrp do make profits plus they get cash incentives for sales volume. They also keep the hold back incentive that, not too long ago, was another negotiable amount. Another thing the pandemic killed was end-of-model-year incentives. I bought several new vehicles in late summer where I saved as much as $8k off msrp. The only ones that benefit from this new car markup trend is the dealer. Paying over msrp does not increase the value of vehicles. The manufacturer does not make a penny more when people overpay. If you pay over msrp do you really think you will recover that money if you sell it in 2 years. I just can't believe people pay these inflated prices when they can buy somewhere else at msrp. My local dealers have been price gouging people for years. I have driven up to 400 miles to buy my last 3 new ones and saved thousands. I would spend $300 or more for a one-way plane ticket and buy 1000 miles away before I would line a greedy dealers pockets. Just glad my vehicles have low miles.

I was lucky, the guy asked me,”so what am I going to sell you today?” After telling me about all the crap they get away with selling to suckers, etching, addition body part ID numbers, nitrogen, scotchguard and sealant wax, gap insurance … I said, the truck. Got it for MSRP in late 2021 just before Mark Ups got ridiculous. Still blue books for more than I bought it on both personal sale and trade in.

That is her and her husbands deal now. Military and they live out of state. She hasn't had any issues with it so far and it is road tripped frequently.

I really like the look of the RCI rack also. When I picked up my sliders at their factory a bunch of various 4WDs in the parking lot had the racks on an they fit so well. As of now I don't need a rack though.
