4th Gen spotted in S. San Jose today. Didn’t think they were out already.

correction: Tundra spotted, nothing to see here folks, keep moving along.

Yeah now I look at it closer, I think it is a Tundra. I got carried away to see disc brakes on rear axle.

Hey all, I just posted in Sac thread but casting a wider net for possible norcal express.
Anyone have a needle bearing puller tool for the front axle clamsell? Id like to borrow one for next Monday.

lift is going on and I want to install the ECGS bearing proactively.

    @jberry813 @Fernando etc.

Where's the end destination? I'll be in Livermore on Tuesday and back up to Sac. May head up to 50 on Saturday to meet up with @Tour991

Hey Matt yeah basically downtown Sac on the 50 side. I could treat you to a brisket sando at Urban Roots for your troubles.
@CemenTRDgen Josh, how about you and Matt hook up for this, then worst case scenario we have two tools in Sac that can got anywhere in Norcal pretty quickly for the next guys who need them!

I'll take us to a PM convo for deets.

Hey Matt, for some reason I cannot start a private convo for us right now. It may be a switch they forgot to throw back on when I got unperma-ed. My post count has been frozen, too. IDK...

Can you please start a convo with me and Josh, then I'll fill it in for us.

Good to know, thanks Jerrykins :cookiemonster:. Josh and Matt have already passed the baton on a Tdub express. Puller, installer, and new seal. Deal of the century. Or at least the lfe of the truck.

@MattJakobs @CemenTRDgen got the needle bearing puller, installer, and free new seal. You guys are awesome. If anyone else in NorCal needs it next, I should be done in about a week.

Tioga Pass is open from Lee Vining to the Eastern entrance of the park. You cannot enter the park and there is no estimate when the entrance will open.

Maybe you guys can help me figure this out....

I have been running ome Dakar and aal for like 5 years or something. I have a camper, tube bumper, tube dual swingout, 35 spare and 5 gallon fuel.

I just switched to @Fernando 's old all Pro expo pack because I was sitting perfect unloaded but 3 bags of concrete and I was sagging. Pack for a trip and I did half the rubicon on bumpstops.....

What I'm curious about is the dakars gave 3" lift and allpro states the pack gives 3" lift... "The Expedition Springs will provide approximately 3" of lift with 400-500 lbs of cargo. Unloaded, they will provide approximately 4" of lift."

I was expecting to stay the same height or even be a tad higher because of the weight tolerance difference but I just lost like 2" switching leaf packs and im uncomfortable close to 2"up and 8" down. Like my rear end is now lower than it was on 33s. I also took it out to flex the travel for clearances and such and it definitely has less travel. I have 10" shocks and at compressed bump I have about 1" left (which is where I set it, expo leafs are neutral and ome was pretty negative here) but at max droop I'm missing like 2" measured about 8-8.5".

In the photos you can see the flex and some before and after. The side shot has the new setup on top, and the rear shot new setup is bottom and both have significant differences. (Top photo of the rear is when we first installed without aal on empty bed no carrier or camper but the unsettled almost 4" lift we built and measured off of, roughly 6 up and 4 down as we expected it to settle to more 5/5)

I guess the questions are did I make a mistake buying these? Why did I loose so much lift? And is it even an option to add a longer shackle and would that raise my ride height and extend downtravel?

I’ve had all pro standard leafs and expos. I’ve found the only way to get exactly what you want is to pay the money for custom leafs. I’ve had alcans for a few years and couldn’t be happier with them. Deavers are an option too. Also, those specs you’re quoting are for brand new leafs, those have been used and wheeled.
