Sounds like a good excuse to put more miles on the AT.

    This is true!

But I have some plans this weekend that would delay even longer. At this point, im out $25 extra. Im ok with it. Plus I sold the extra quad lock stuff that I had, so maybe i broke even.

Gold boots should be delivered tomorrow, they will call me and issue the refund, and Sand boots should get here hopefully by Thursday.

:bored::pccoffee: All in a days work I suppose

Annnd IM BACK! Took last week off to head to north for a yearly lake trip with friends that we extended on the front end and did a bunch of riding.

742 Miles of TWO UP twisties with the GF to be exact in the northern sierra nevadas of CA around lake almanor / lassen national forest / plumas national forest and a good chunk of riding with a buddy of mine on his ktm 1290 adv. This was all before a few lake days on jetskis / boats with friends. Needless to say awesome time.

Absolutely E P I C scenery up there. From 8 ft tall snow drifts over Lassen peak to high desert riding around eagle lake and everything in between. Super Tenere did it all flawless!

(This was the longest 2up riding i have ever done as well as the GF!).

Got some goodies in today. One was an order from Tyga with a 6 bolt (stock is 3) clutch plate and lifter, gasket, some HRC stickers, and a Thai OEM fly screen, the other was an Amazon order with a Kitaco 60% stiffer spring set. The spring pack was all in japanese and I got curious about what it said, pulled it up in apple translate, and this was the translation

Can’t wait to install my death springs

Oh I also learned I need a drop hitch if I remotely want to make this work.

Use a moto stand to walk up on as you get further up the ramp

I'd scorch them online for that. I 100% understand mistakes happen, but the person/business making the mistake should be paying for it. They could easily give you credit or cover the shipping. Straight asshat behavior for a business, unless it's a tiny mom and pop with slim margins. Even then, take the loss and keep the customer.

    Was it a big chain?

No, small mom and pop/one location. Same place I bought my bike from, only place that I know of that offers a discount on used gear trade in for new gear.

I guess even though I paid to ship back, rather than driving 2.5 hours in traffic (thats on me to ship) I still came out under MSRP.

    MSRP: $459 + tax
    My cost: $396 + tax = $414

That's what I used the cat litter container for. The only moto stand I have is on wheels and the locks aren't THAT strong enough to trust it. I plan on buying this and calling it good.

    https://patriothitches.com/collections/the-general/products/the-general-2-0-light-duty-black-series

Plus it will make the ramp far less steep. I only would run this setup if I am taking it camping with my son or something, otherwise it goes in the bed.

Anyone get anything good for the bikes on prime day? I'm seeing a few deals on com units and some off-brand luggage that doesn't look half bad.

Freecom 4+ TWO pack $200 (2019 model though)
    https://www.amazon.com/Cardo-FREECOM-PLUS-Motorcycle-Communication/dp/B07MYD5BF8/

Rhinowalk bags, this brand has a few different types and styles up:
    https://www.amazon.com/Rhinowalk-Motorcycle-Expandable-motorcycle-Waterproof/dp/B0BJZW5GFC

Whoa, Giant Loop has a big sale on stuff, 40% off this pannier set, not sure how it compares to their website's sale:
    https://www.amazon.com/Giant-Loop-LLC-Mototrekk-Panniers/dp/B07MT5BS32

    Solar trickle charger:
    https://www.amazon.com/Battery-Portable-Waterproof-Maintainer-conversion/dp/B07JLWFPX6

Also seeing a lot of random vowel brand air inflators, covers, soft tie downs, etc for dirt cheap.

I cancelled my prime membership in january or february and don't see anything crazy enough of a deal to re-up it again. Whomp whomp.
