Did you clean the ECU ground location on the supercharger? making sure no paint is i between the supercharger and ground straps there?

Yes, I was able to get to those.
Will order new sensors this week.

 

I had to move some things around. Moved the ACT wire to an injector output since it was connected to a digital pulsed input. And then connected the AC1 to an unused analog input.
I had to order some pins for the HT connector. You could probably use one of the pins from another wire that the ECU doesn't use and splice onto that and then move irw location. There's a few I think that are connected to things like the MAF and such

What software version are you on? They just updated the logic for false trigger trips too. But @treyus30 is right you might need to raise the threshold above 3k to suit your truck

 

Big progress with the HT display (I've dubbed it the HT-101CBR, "CBR" = "CAN Bridge"). New displays using SPI are working well, data updates are very quick now, and I've dealt with all the nuances of data switches between display addresses (so you can display 1 piece of data on one screen only, and it will wipe any screen it used to be on). One Arduino Nano can support 8 displays with 1 piece of data each (I've been testing with 4). Next step is to finalize text formatting, then go back and make sure the CAN module still works. If it does, simple variable reconfig to show realtime data.

I'm pretty much thinking I'll be making little SSD1306 module housings that link together like puzzle pieces, and rigid backplanes that you plug in to connect them and add structure. Possible Nano pinout in every board so you could buy 1, or buy up to 8, expandable at any time and attach the Nano directly to the back of a single said backplane. Reconfigurable over built-in arduino serial<>USB. I would charge for the little display modules, and provide software updates for free, but the code would remain closed-source for now, just because of the sheer hours of optimization this has taken. Hoping once I release I can get a few of you to purchase at a low price and work with me for improvements. Peace

I saw this in the daily thread earlier and it reminded me of a discussion that Zane and I have had previously.

For those running an A340 trans, what is going to be the way to get the Haltech to monitor and report trans fluid temps. Can the OEM sensor be used without going through the ECM? Is this even possible or am I going to have to use a separate sensor and gauge for this?

I believe the sensor is just another thermistor - you could connect it in like any of the other temp sensors


Though I don't think it's purpose is to do anything more than turn on a dash light

 

Can we get a poll going of the highest RPM people have been able to rev and if they still get a trigger or cam error?

Me: 5600 RPM, Main Limiter set to 6200 @ 190 degrees coolant, get both errors @ 5600 RPM (engine hiccups). Had to play with arming voltages to get it past 4500 RPMs.

Tried enabling/disabling grounds. Tried RPM Filter 0-2. Tried Crank and Cam Filters 0-2. Currently have grounds disabled and all filters are 0. Tried making derivative filter 3.

Going to try separating Crank/Cam grounds next. Also going to look at grounding (the block) more. Last effort will be replacing sensors with new ones (when in doubt, throw money at it).

Also, my coworkers just hated on me for wanting to spin this motor past stock redline. Dangerous question: am I an idiot?

 

Tbh I don't think I've even let it get above 5k but I can put it in 2nd and see. I haven't had any trigger issues past crank since I adjusted my voltages.

If you converted your valve perches and upgraded springs, sure, go ahead and rev to the moon? Otherwise I wouldn't increase it. There's not much point anyway unless you've done stuff to the intake manifold and cams

 

I can whack my limiter at 6k all day with zero errors

 

Lol I'm back at 3-3500.
Updated the firmware to 3.09, no change.
Cleaned the old stock sensor, no change.
Adjusted voltage up and down only worse.
New sensor goes in soon.

 

You might try unpairing the grounds like I did in my thread. You should have the same wiring quirks for the engine side since we are the same year.

 

I will have to try that before I do the sensor, maybe I can get my money back.

 

Have you tried viewing the waveforms to diagnose why it might be erroring?
