Did a bunch or grooves. No matter what a lot of chips go forward. I mean it catches some, but not all. Oh well.

Hahahaha I did. Nicely actually. Thanks. I'm not spending more money on it, edge routing no problem, chips all sucked up.

It’s so true, they hopefully will last my lifetime :) I really like a lot of the new tools especially the Festool stuff, everything these days has dust collection ports which I really wish all my old tools had. I just can’t justify replacing them for just that so I guess I’ll just keep getting buried in sawdust :)

Talk about old tools, here’s a small sample of my hand planes, I use these when I want no dust!

Man I’ve got an old craftsman router and corded drill that probably qualify to be in one of those fancy glass cases. Still use them both from time to time. Router overheats and shuts off if you try to get too forceful with it but the drill will break your wrist if you’re not paying attention.

Haven't had much time in the shop. But the top finish is dry enough to flip it and do one more coat on the bottom.

Been there. It ain’t no fun for sure. For me, the prep was much worse than the procedure.

So, so much worse. Hopefully they get the dosing right for the happy drugs during the procedure and you remember none of it.

    Like this:

For dado location is critical so set that and triple check. Then get everything else set, check position then align fence:

    IMG_5202.jpg

    Then check position again

There was a little hilarity. After wondering why nothing was holding in place - I realized my fence face was not super tight. The fence was locked down but the fingie nuts in back weren’t tightened enough. Operator error

I never thought to use it for a router table.

Probably because I don’t have one. I mean, I do, but it’s a Ryobi, and it’s in the back (black hole) of the shop.

    It makes sense.
