I just added the harness and bulbs after doing a half-restoration on the existing assemblies. Still a massive difference in output. Eventually, I’ll order up some new assemblies but I’d say it’s still worth it without replacing them.

They may have gone up a little, but I'm pretty sure BulbAmerica still offers the best deal, when they're in stock.

I looked more at my head lights and they are crazing and cracking. I’ll have to get new head lights.

darn…I have to spend money on modifications.

I am curious if any of these bulbs would be compatible with my stock housing for my 2020 OR.

If they were compatible with my stock headlight housing and harness setup, would any of these be a safe, worthwhile, practical and functional upgrade to the stock D11 halogen bulbs.

They are not. See the link posted above. Best upgrade for 3rd Gen halogen assemblies is the Philips H9 mod. Best overall is the OEM LED swap. Unfortunately neither matches the performance of the 2nd Gens with the high powered Osrams.

I just bought a set of oshram night breaker 200 for my new aftermarket (stock type) housings. I was looking for a higher watt halogen bulb without success. I havent run them yet as im questioning the fact tthey say they are only 20% normal life expectancy.... are they just higher frequency?

In halogen performance bulbs additional performance comes at the cost of bulb life. In stock wattage performance bulbs the performance comes from increased focus, by making the filament windings smaller and more precise so that the same amount of light is emitting from a smaller area making it higher intensity, but that also causes the bulb filaments to not last as long. Those bulbs are rated at 200 hours, same as the Osram SuperBrights, which based on my use is good for about 1 year. They are a good bulb, though the Philips Racing Vision +200 is slightly better, and also rated for 400 hours so it should last 2x longer than those Osrams while putting out higher output, which is why it is the recommended stock wattage performance bulb.

See updated Philips +200 review in post #3169. And Osram Nightbreaker +200 in post #4066.

I wouldn't return the Osrams, I'd run them, and just buy the Philips next year.

Stock style aftermarket housings can vary quite a bit, some are ok-ish and others very poor, OEM will be best. With stock wattage performance bulbs reducing the light source size to increase intensity, it is relying on precision optics of the headlight assembly to make efficient use of that smaller more intense light source. If the headlight assembly optics are not high-precision and just 'good enough' they won't realize the same output gains from using a high-precision performance bulb like an OEM unit would.

If I thought my 08 Tacoma O.E.M. headlight housings were expensive...I was WRONG! Realitive to my 06 Sienna with H.I.D. they are a bargain! The Sienna H.I.D.'s are $1200 apeice! Time to buy a set of new none H.I.D. $150 ebay units and remove the lenses. Why cant $1200 get glass? $300 for that matter?
