Man you guys got me worried now lol.

I went a little more pricey option, MotoTote m3. seems like it's robust enough for my light little YZ. Unfortunately hitch carrier is the only option for me as I have no space for a trailer currently, and the GFC stays on all the time.

At least you have an option for the carrier. With a swingout, Id need a 6" extender, and then things get really sketchy

Well...I had to buy their extension haha. remains to be seen if I'll use it...I may just remove my spare tire and mounting plate when carrying the bike to avoid doing so. It gets kinda close to the spare tire mounting pole but no issues.

I have to imagine it can't be that hard to build a decent hitch carrier to support 250lbs of dynamic weight on regular roads but I'm no fabricator.

    Lol

well your bike is road legal AND dirt capable too. I'll have to do a uHaul trailer when I get around to doing a track day on my street bike. No way I'd feel safe transporting that one on a hitch carrier.

After thinking about it, I think I'll definitely be removing my spare tire when transporting the dirtbike. No reason to carry an extra 90lbs on the back, when chances are I won't even need the spare during those times. I p much only carry it around so the TPMS lights don't go off, and so I can always have it on hand for 5 tire rotations at the shop

Guaranteed as soon as you leave your spare you will need it. Keep it. the 90lbs isnt going to make or break the difference.

    Lmao ain't that the truth

you guys think using the extension will be fine with a bike that light? hitch carrier rated for 500lbs. Figure that's robust enough

I've rented Uhaul trailers a few times, the motorcycle one is cheap and has a built in wheel chock.

I have this little utility trailer now that really comes in handy. It's light weight and tows nice. Besides hauling bikes, I used it for my last two moves and other stuff around the house. Needs a little refresh, think that will be a winter project.

Definitely plan to get my own trailer down the line. but where I'm living now I'd have no space to store it and I'm not gonna be like my neighbors who park their boat + trailer in valuable and high demand street parking spots for months at a time lol

Heard that, I've lived a couple places that only had one parking spot. I can't believe I used to park my motorcycle outside under a cover lol I'm lucky it never got stolen

I've been lucky enough that there's just enough space in the garage for my two bikes now lol. Gonna be doing a garage cleaning to make a little more space, getting kinda cramped in there.

Yeah they don't really seem to care here. I've seen one guy across the street get away with leaving his boat and trailer in some prime real estate for 3 months, because he got lucky with rains and holidays messing up the 1x/month street sweeping schedule. I'm too considerate of others and my own truck to take advantage of that lol

That's comforting to hear at least lol

not even a backyard to speak of :( I live in a townhome currently. best I can do is a front patio with 2 tiny doors for access

    upload_2023-7-12_18-10-57.png

Lol the one good thing about renting is it makes me pick one or the other many times, so I don't accumulate too much lol. But lately I've been hoarding so I need to do a little facebook or TW sale soon. If any of you guys are interested in citizen or Lum-Tec watches, or expensive folding pocket knives, let me know cuz I got a bunch of those to offload.

That's a pretty solid setup though, that little offshoot is perfect for trailer or other storage haha. Yard looks fine to me :D

haha valid point! my garage has been kinda packed every since i bought my house... i really got to get rid of that m100 and my atv to put money in savings or another bike/car:anonymous:

haha ya its not bad tbh if i planned to live in this house 5 more years i was gonna put a shop in that area to be able to store my stuff indoors and work on projects but im thinking of selling it maybe this year and moving to a cheaper county... right i dont see no weeeds lmao

Are you by chance talking about this?

    https://mojomotosport.com/products/ultimate-mx-hauler

If so.. I believe RMATV carries/carried them. There are two versions, the one above and a roll on version.
