Thanks! It is I originally went in looking for an OR but my dealership said I’d be waiting 6months and it would be a 23 model so couldn’t get Army Green. I called around every dealership within 50miles (i live near Boston so that was a lot!) every single one told me the same thing! Then I was on my local dealerships website and it said they had the TE on route, I liked the look of it and wanted a small lift and wheels for the OR anyway so this solved that (plus the grill, unique seats and locker were a bonus) I don’t really have a use for the Multi Terrain and Crawl control as camping in campgrounds is as “off road” as I get! I can’t see me ever being in a situation 4WD and a locker won’t save me from!

I called them immediately and they said someone had just pulled out of it that morning it was already on route and would be with them in 5 weeks, worked out perfectly!

Excellent! I need to look at what is available at 8020.net. What did you use to attach the corner bracket to the bed rail?

Carthage, ME. Camping on the bank of Webb river. I was in Brooksville, ME the last couple days and Elkins, WV last weekend, but didn't get any pics. Has been a really good trip! PXL_20230713_215516649.MP.jpg

I used some T Slot nuts from Amazon, the corner bracket needed the holes drilling out to 3/8” and slightly elongating to fit but easily done with a hand drill.

I used tnutz.com think it’s a fair bit cheaper than 80/20 but it’s none branded.

    2 62” 3”x1.5” cross bars
    4 3”x3” corner braces
    16 5/16” t slot nuts and bolts
    4 end caps

If I was to do it again I’d have tnutz thread the holes on the end so I could fit something like below for tie down points.

    Cheers

Thanks for all the detailed information. Looks like tnutz is definitely cheaper.

With the threads on the end, you will need to take the steel on aluminum threads into consideration. I would think the way you have it now, should be able to handle more weight.

Oh yeah I’d keep the mounting as it is, just swap the plastic end caps I have now for some tie down points for strapping the cargo to it.

As long as it’s not stainless steel bolting there’s no concern, zinc plated bolting into the aluminum is fine to use, aslong as they’re not being torqued/untorqued regularly.
