Are you disappointed in me for a trading in my Tacoma to get a 4Runner?

They are but .... I think you could improve the experience by getting some of those USPS free postal boxes and melting some Walmart cheese on top of it.

After ordering a rod holder and realizing it was not even close to what I was looking for and then doing a bunch more research on rod holders and not finding what I wanted I am going to attempt to use a broom holder as a rod holder. I noticed a while ago that Velcro sticks very well to the carpeted interior of the topper so I'm hoping the broom holder attached to the ceiling with velcro will do the job. I like to keep a fishing pole on me at all times because on my adventures I find myself along bodies of water all the time and why would I not want to take a cast in every body of water that I can? I've just been keeping the rod in the cab of the truck but it would be great to have it completely out of the way in back. :fingerscrossed:

( DISCLAIMER: I wasn't really upset with how my truck drove like many people (the majority of which were earlier model year 3rd gens) so I do not expect to be super impressed like others have been. I mainly got the tune because why would I not want my truck to be even better? )

Had it tuned today, KD Max Pro 10.0. Still a whoooole bunch of driving situations that need to be encountered before I make a final judgement on it. Very early impression is that the tune is like having a slightly more agressive ECT enabled at all times which is definitely a good thing. My ECU calibration needed to be updated before tuning so it's nice knowing that's up to date. Also got rid of seatbelt beeps and changed lane change blinks to 6. I will definitely make sure to give a final judgement after enough driving has occured.

Tell me about it! I was literally just thinking today it's been quite some time since I modded anything on it and I'm getting antsy. I've been *shivers* trying to be financially responsible recently and truck mods are most definitely not financially responsible... I've been eyeing up IronMan4x4 FCP rear shocks heavily. I want to try running them instead of the 5160s. Only issue is, I let everyone know how I use my truck so nobody will buy the 5160s from me when I pull them off

How's the broom holder working out?

You could customize a Rod-Saver rack like this:

Sooooo it was working good, but the further forward broomholder Velcro started pulling away from the carpeting on the ceiling. The day that I put both of them on the ceiling it didn't seem to attach nearly as well as the further back one and it progressively got worse until it let go. I've been lazy but I've been meaning to swap stuff to the other side because I'm wondering if perhaps that was a weird spot with the carpet or even maybe the carpet wasn't properly adhered to the roof there. If it were to fail again then I would give up on my idea

The way you drive, velcro won't hold long term.

The truck cost and maintenance will cost more than a house payment. However, you can sleep in a truck. You cannot race a house.

Have you thought about signing up for one of those trophy truck experience things? Somebody over on Tundras did one. Did you talk to him about it beyond what was in Live?
