I’m seeing a ton of posts requesting a quote from @truckalter. Is there some difference in price by requesting here versus just visiting his website and ordering there? The website price also matches the price on the Lomax website so is there any advantage versus just ordering direct?
I just picked up a 2023 SR5 DCSB and I’m interested in the matte black tri-fold so I’m curious. Zip is 31792. Thanks!

Has anyone attempted to secure a Queen sized mattress on top of a Lomax cover? (5’ bed)

 

Hey folks, just placed an order for Lomax after looking for a hard cover to add a bit of protection to my gear when I’m camping.

I currently run a set of DIY bars for carrying my pop up tent as it’s too long to fit in the bed with the rest of my camping gear.



my plan is to make up some brackets to lift the bars up off the bed sides so I can fit the cover underneath, after scrolling every page I finally found what I was looking for on page 44 thanks to @JHusky (see below)

This is basically what I’m planning to make my question if anyone can answer so I can start making these is what the distance from the front of the bed rail to the edge of the Lomax bracket is? This will help me make up the spacers needed and determine where I need to make the bends, the bars I have are 62” so need to workout where the bracket needs to end.

TLDR; can someone measure the distance from the front of the bed rail to the edge of the Lomax bracket please

 

I use 303 Aerospace Protectant on my Lomax tonneau cover to keep UV rays from fading or damaging it. My problem is application though. How do you guys apply protectant to yours? Mine is the urethane trifold and the cover is a rough sandpaper-like texture. If I use a rag or towel to apply the spray it tears the towel to shreds and leaves little bits of it all over the cover stuck to the urethane. I tried a sponge too and it fell apart even faster.

Thanks @truckalter ! Invoice paid on Monday, arrived to my doorstep on Wednesday, and installed today in under an hour by myself with the wife supervising lol. Came in faster than Amazon prime . And all the way to Hawaii. I am beyond happy right now!!

It fits with the useless trail edition bed boxes.

Started working on mounting my bed bars over the cover today, just waiting on some spacers for the bed rail bolts.

I already had the extruded aluminum bars from my previous diy bed rack but needed some different brackets to lift them and clear the cover.
