The y-pipe is OK for now. Gonna have a flange put on to mate to it factory style and do a stainless Y when it needs done.

 

I need to find me an a 304 exhaust. TRD was discontinued so might not be able to find it

 

Or… go 316 and it will stay shiny long, long after the frame and body have rusted away (as well as also end up being the single most expensive item on the truck)

 

I was just saying I don't know how well stainless and regular steel will stick together if you're going to have someone try and weld 2 dissimilar metals as it seemed like you were talking about having them just weld it on after the y-pipe

My corsa was 304LL and still looked nice after 3 winters. Not many manufacturers make their stuff out of 304 unfortunately

Yea 316 tube has gotta be pricey lol. 304 only discolors from heat cycling

I just wanted to wish everyone up in VT (and surrounding areas dealing with flooding also) well as you recover from the flooding and face the next few days of heavy storms. My family owns a place in central VT. Been following the unbelievable images of damage from Ludlow/Killington areas. Thanks to all the members here who have signed up on the Vermont.gov site - no doubt there are a lot of Tacomas being put to work up there. I hope to make it up there at some point to lend a hand as well. Hang in there VT and New England Tacomaworlders!

Good quality materials.

Mine has 60k + on it, other than I haven't polished the tip, still looks and sounds good.

AND I can easily remove the tailpipe and the muffle is still suppported...

I'm really shocked they'd have a gmail account for customer service. If I hadn't used them before, I'd be very suspicious about that, but it seems like they're on their way to a rebranding.

Edit - Lou's in Concord just quoted me 850 for stainless Y/head pipe/muffler/axle dump, keeping the secondary cat and rerouting around Tcase.

Booked for the 11th.

The fiancee bought a new CX-5. The pricing on the new ones is really good for what they are - she paid around $31k for a "Carbon edition" and their trade number was only $6k less than she paid 4 years ago. It's pretty loaded - heated red leather, rain sensing wipers, Bose sound, power liftgate, etc. This isn't the one she bought, but it's identical. Hers is at a port in Maryland and should be trucked up here in the next couple weeks:




I was surprised how much quieter and higher quality the interior is over her 2016. The fit and finish is seriously impressive for the price point. It's very clear that Mazda is looking to start competing with the luxury makes.

I already ordered a full set of Husky Weatherbeaters for it.

 

My daughter bought an off lease 2021 CX5. She really likes it and it has some nice options. Similar to my wife's RAV4, but not as expensive. Someone here referred to the "Toyota Tax" and that sounds about right.

Generally I consider Mazda about a half generation behind Toyota, but I think they are narrowing the gap.
