The truck is the only vehicle I ever "picked out" versus being a vehicle of opportunity, it is also the only vehicle I have ever made payments on.

I could never justify making payments on something to sit in the parking lot at work all day.

The old daily van cost $1200... :D

Hah, seeing the pool tablets reminds me of the interaction I had at the hardware store the other day. Was picking up a citronella candle as the mosquitos are tearing me up sitting in the garage. Was randomly browsing the store and found they had liquid pool chlorine on sale, so I picked one up. Cashier rang me up and then said, enjoy your pool. I was like "it's actually for the cistern" "Oh, uhhhh enjoy your cistern" Like what? o_O

Either way, saves me some money. Only takes a quart of the pool stuff vs a whole gallon every couple months.

Ok, that's my stupid story of the day... :anonymous:

In other news, looks like I also get to track down where mice are getting into the basement. :annoyed: One of the cats got one yesterday. Living amongst all the fields here it's not surprising. Can't think too many places they'd be getting in off hand. I did drill 3 holes to get electric to the converted carport, so those need sealed up. I'm thinking they're getting in and chewing through the dryer hose. When I first moved in the old foil flex was chewed through. Beginning to wonder if the spots in the drop ceiling aren't plumbing leaks from the old copper, but mouse nest. Ugh...

it does not take much space at all those little rodents can slip through the smallest holes.:annoyed:

Let the Cats earn their keep. I must say since this stray cat comes to visit I have not seen any rodents before they were quite common .

It likes to show off the hunting skill those bits not eaten in hard to find places only smell for a few days.

Many people have no idea what a cistern is.

It was nice having a back up water supply when the well was down for maintenance .

Doing the math the one at the farm was about 2000 gallons.

it was my job if I was home to allow the dust to be washed off then divert the water into the cistern.

Yea, it used to have a bypass loop to go through the house, but the plumbing was such a mess I cut it all out. It only feeds the front spigot currently. However, it would only take one solder fitting and a PEX tee to tie it back in incase of emergency.

I throw some chlorine in there just to keep the funk down. Seems to work well. Haven't had to change the filter in a while.

In this age quite easy to understand why!

I have experienced that aftermath people so scared of getting an STD and then be called out for whore hopping by a partner. Some were taught to stand by parents. City people do strange things .

i think you're taking the name too literally. though i do have my own reservations about calling something 'ceramic coating' when it's not.

it is absolutely more durable and longer lasting than any of the other currently available paint sealants or carnuba-base waxes available.

of course, i like the paint correction and carnuba process instead of paying someone to do a specialty coating.
