We finally got some rain yesterday.
Looks like I'll be painting this weekend.
New cabinets get installed next week. Countertop people come next Thursday to measure everything.

I have a question on the third gen double cabs does the back seat fold flat like the second generation Tacoma?

 

The wife decided while I was gone she needs her own truck! Sent me some pictures said I like this one come on home and go test drive it
It’s a silver 23 trd sport leather heated seats and y’all know I’m going to discourage that.

I think so. I haven't done it in awhile. I believe (my memory is hazy) that you have to take the head rests off for it to go.

I remember the headrest coming off and on the second generation, the backs stayed and the bottoms folded forward completely flat. I hope that’s still the same. You have your dry storage and hauling and a bed.

 

I don’t know about that she has met some of the younger SC crowd and I’m going to leave it at that ! And if you haven’t noticed I very rarely leave here. She would have more in common with y’all.

 

i just got a 3G. yes. the headrests need to come off first, but it will all lay flat. there is no where convienent to put the headrest tho.

 

as a 50+ person, i find myself in much less of a hurry.

i do admit, i am having a hard time getting used to the new truck. it's like on "island time". slow. well, it not slow, it feels torqueless. but i am warming to it quickly. i'll probably donate my 2006 later this year. it still runs like a champ, but the minor body damage from the drunk driver with ZERO insurance ruined that relationship.

i'm still waiting for the DA and police report.

 

If I recall correctly, there is a place on the back of the seat bottom to put the headrests when the seats are folded.

 

My 2017 double cab you don't need to remove rear headrests to get the rear seats to fold down, but perhaps you may if you want the rear seats to end up truly horizontal? Or maybe the newer 3rd Gens are slightly different than my older truck.

I almost always have my dog back there, or sometimes passengers, so I rarely ever need to fold the rear seats down.

 

Yes is yes ... why complicate with details?

yes, mine stays that way except if my gkids ever come up again.
