The first 3 steps are caramelize 1/2 a thinly sliced onion in butter, deglaze the pan with white wine until it’s dry.

 

Sitting down to Sunday football when I lived in Central America I mentioned I wouldn't mind having some corn chips. Girlfriend heads out to the shop and I expect her to return with a bag of chips but instead she has a pound of masa. She proceeded to make corn tortillas then cut them into wedges and deep fries then to make chips. I got my corn chips in time for the third quarter.

250 for 5 hours. Used so much brown sugar in the rub they carmelized to the rack lol.

 

Just some blueberry muffins from scratch



Course I fucked up cause I had the wrong liners (put them on the island but didn't pay attention)

But with the butter melted, blueberries coated, and mixture already put together, I couldn't run out to buy the right liners last minute.

See @amyracecar I didn't abandon this thread I just don't do as well as a lot of you guys in the kitchen!

 

I think you do pretty well in the kitchen - no excuses!

I took my peach/lemon juice/brown sugar/basil mixture and sauteed it in butter and some salted caramel bourbon - poured it over some yougrt -

 

Whipped up a quick and simple version of chicken parmesan. Had to simulate a marinara sauce since I was out. Served on a bed of butter garlic noodles. It was delicious. Wife said it’s a do again. That’s all that matters.

 

Ok dang that does look good; odd concoction for me but I can already taste it (plus the textures).

 

Came out pretty good - next time I'll add just a tiny bit of cinnamon and more basil

The creamy, tanginess of the yogurt contrasts well with rich buttery fruit and that salted caramel burbon for the win!
I just picked it up today - you can taste the caramely/burbon flavor in the peaches

 

Damn, I need to incorporate more butter in my life

 

Watermelon mint granita

In a blender, watermelon and fine chopped mint, pour into a large bowl, place in the freezer and keep stirring with a fork as it freezes so it forms ice crystals instead of lumps.
