What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

I originally was going for the KO2s but after hearing the poor wet handling conditions from multiple people… I’ve scratched them off my list.

 

Same here. I went with Wildpeak AT3 and love them. The have done all I’ve asked and handle great in the rain. I know multiple people who have the KO2s on Tacomas and say it’s the last time. Although I loved the KO2s when I had them on my diesel, maybe our rigs are just don’t weigh enough

 

I've been debating if I want to get a new head unit. Looks very cool!

 

No plastidip - I purchased these caps off ebay they snap right on and have adhesive tape inside, Same for the door handle covers. The first set I purchased off ebay were too big. This set snapped right in place.

 

Should have bought it when it was 50% off lol

 

Mine came with KO2's, only driven in the rain once with them and it was a downpour. These tires feel better in the rain than the Geolander's I had on my T4R.

 

It starts with blacking out 1 thing. Then something else stands out and so on and so on and so on.

 

Over Memorial day I did the Toytec lift kit. 2-3 inch lift. Nice red coil-over front and silver red rear shocks and add-a-leaf.

 

Got Spotter mirrors on sale.

 

Interior is next on my chrome delete list, debating on buy or paint....leaning towards paint

Soak in bleach, clean, and paint OR scuff, clean, prime, and paint?
Seems 6 one way, half dozen the other

 

yeah, seen some people just wet sand, primer and paint. Several different methods to go about it though

 

Haven't purchased it yet, but this is my next interior mod that will be done. I'm tired of my 32 and 40oz water bottles rolling around. A must have upgraded.

 

I have these installed. Super easy install. Worth every penny.

 

I just ordered the same one a couple of days ago. Should arive any day now. It'll be nice to not have my Nalgene bouncing around all over.

I've been looking for a solution to the water bottle problem, was even going to as far as getting a chalk bag for climbing and put a long bolt threw it and install it on the driver's side center console. This is the solution I've been looking for.

 

These fit pretty good in the bottom so you don’t have any rattling:

Thanks for posting that. I think I'll have to follow your lead with this upgrade. I can't count the number of times my hydroflask has rolled off the passenger seat and on to the floor.
