Hello everyone! I am trying to run diagnostics on my cargo lights for my 2022 double cab (3rd brake light bed illumination and aftermarket plug and play bed lights). The switch is still illuminated on my dash and the cargo light fuse in the interior fuse box is still giving power to a test light. I tried following the wire to see if I could see see any breaks but it seems to be in good shape front to back. At the plug going to either cargo light I get no power at all. I am wondering if maybe it has a bad ground but I cannot find the exact ground location for this circuit. Based on the grounds I have found along the path of the main loom it goes through everything looks fine. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, I have tried just about everything I am capable of but I have not come up with any results. I was hoping to get this sorted out before my smartcap comes because it seems redundant to add more lights to the bed of the truck just because I cannot figure out why these stopped working out of nowhere. Thank you for any help or suggestions!

Im gonna take this a step further and say when I put my test light on the blue wire pin on the back of the OEM cargo light switch that the relay clicks and the lights will turn on so I guess they are still functional.. Bad switch?

Does the relay click every time? Usually the relay will crap out before a switch.

Yes it does. It is completely silent when I am flicking the switch but it clicks every single time I put my test light on that wire. The switch itself looks completely fine inside and out but maybe there is something I am missing.

Do you have a multimeter to test the switch with?

I do have one, but not the know how needed to test this kind of switch. I will try swapping the switch out though and see if that remedies the problem, if not then it is back to the drawing board. If it is the switch that was bad then I am going to be extremely confused as to how I managed to break that thing!

Hood Struts, My version Fogs always ON, Map & Overhead Light Mod,
Tell us where have you placed the other side of this "test" light. If it's ground, your just bypassing the switch.
