    Part out time.....

Had to bring the Taco in for A/C repair and had to pay a whopping $160 for a top up. :D
Nothing else has gone wrong with this truck. Heck, I'm still running the original Battery...

It just makes me laugh at all the different brands of vehicles at my work that I had to keep bringing in to the Dealerships for soooooo many problems.

Wish I had your luck. I've had my water pump, head gaskets, timing cover, and fuel rail O-rings all addressed recently.

Outstanding but not surprised, except maybe for the battery hanging out for six years.

Assuming it also still looks good- No six-year pic?

I am almost afraid to say this,
    84k 2016 4cyl purchased certified 2 yrs old
    Came with a replacement battery
    Maintenance
    oil changed around every 5k
    Recent trans drain and refill
Recent rear end drain and fill
Recent brake fluid drain and refill.

Warranty replaced transmission steel coolant lines

    that’s it.

    wash 2-3 a month, wax 2-3 times a year
    New tires 1year ago,
Undercoated with crc 3 yrs ago,

    Nothing major …yet

eiter we are lucky or maintain well

I thought my 2016 was pretty good at 95k miles. It sits for weeks at a time in the garage.

I think replacing the battery every 11 months is not very honest. The old battery will need to be recycled, the cost will go up as any well run business will NOT lose money. The economic will only hurt the honest people.

I won’t even go near the Costco parking lot. Do their car batteries come in 12 packs?

    Sorry can’t let this go.
It’s really fraud. But let’s look at it this way. 10000 people do what you suggest. 10000 x $125(battery)+$20(recycle) = $1.45 million expense each year. Over 10 years. 10.45 million expense, oh they can afford it, it’s just going to be pushed back to the consumer. I guess when you take your truck to the dealer and he charges $200 diagnostic charge for putting it on a machine and doing a 30min repair then charging you 1.5 hrs because that what the book says it should take ($500) . That’s okay because hey he can’t fix it himself and that’s the book price that’s okay?
People need to stop robbing each other or the system.
    Sorry for the rant

Well hells bells man....your truck better be reliable with only 60,000km on it.

I live dangerously too. Just changed out the AC delco's in my duramax at 7 years. Still good, but batteries are cheap (ish).
