Most I’ve done is just over 7 hours in mine so far. It’s plenty comfortable to me. I’m potentially driving to Jackson, WY in a month and a half, which is a 23 hour drive for me. So that should be a good test….

I personally don't like them but the big thing is stretch, drink water and enjoy the drive.

Stay under 70mph to get the best mileage.

10 hours is my current limit. Anymore and I'd rather fly.

I drove for 8.5 hours, 850 km and could go on for another couple hours no problem. I find the seat comfortable.

Drove from NYC to Moab last year in 8-hour stretches. Take the time to get the seat adjusted right, and don't be afraid to pull over and stretch for a few.

This right here! The adjustable lumbar in the seat doesn't have enough adjustment for my tastes. And if you are worried about mileage, I've definitely found over several thousand miles of road tripping that keeping cruise at 70 or below keeps my average just over 20 mph. The higher you go over 70 the faster that figure plummets.

I’ve done a 30 hour round trip 15 hours each way. Me and the wife were comfortable the whole time. This was 6 years ago.

Fast forward, tundra is more enjoyable in comfort and driving. No knock on the taco, just from experience. More room with dogs, wife sleeping. Getting snacks and drinks from the cooler in the back seat. Adding longer range on a tank with a 38 gallon supply. Just works out a bit better for us

My truck has now been on 6 19 hour (one way) road trips since last year (Michigan to Wyoming/Colorado) and several other 6 hour ones. Comfort is going to be personal preference. I can say if it was rough for me, we wouldn't have repeated the trips. The rougher part was having to empty the wallet for gas. Although it was still far cheaper than flying.

Just got back from a 600 mile/13 hour trip yesterday. My first long trip in my ‘23 Tacoma. Averaged right around 20 mpg, but that will maybe improve a bit as the truck gets broken in. When I started the trip I had just under 1,800 miles on the odometer. I was comfortable enough. Much better than I expected. Just stop and stretch every few hours and you will be good to go.

I’ve done 8 hours no problem.
It’s comfortable to me, but definitely not a touring car or luxury SUV.
Unless I’m going to get something, or traveling with match guns, my ass is flying anything over 8.

A taco seat is luxurious compared to a coach airline seat, at least in my personal opinion.

It's going to be different for everyone depending on size, age, overall physical condition, etc. Make the trip and tell us how it goes!

We've made the 16hr, 1000 mile trip from South AL back home to Lancaster, PA round-trip twice. Both times were with our young boys ages 6&3, then 7&4. We stopped about every 4 hours to give the kids a break and I filled up each time. Never a bad trip. Paying $500 for gas certainly beats $4000+ flights from Pensacola to Philly. Not to mention then needing a rental and packing light. With layovers, flying also only saves about 6hrs...

We're doing the same trip again in October. I'm thinking about a rental this time because my wife won't drive the 6MT but likes going out with friends/family :sadviolin:

    Totally agree!
But at 500 mph, I can deal with it:D

lol, no. I do lots of highway in mine and it’s rough when I have to log a day over 300 mi. Seat jackers and back pillows help.

Gives great relief to the spine and I swear by it.

Driving comfort is very subjective and personal. I hear Dodge Rams are luxurious to drive on road trips.

Wife and I find the Tacoma comfortable on long road trips. The power adjustable seat really helps.

Just get out there and enjoy the drive! Don’t overthink this.

Now, this guy drives from Michigan to Alaska, yearly for seasonal work in a beater!

My motorcycle is more comfortable for long trips but I can't bring the kids and dog on it. Did a 5 hour trip today, thank goodness the kids and puppy bladder allowed me to get out and stretch frequently.

Last 10 hour drive wasn't enjoyable. (Should have kept the 4runner:facepalm:) I've since added seat jackers, but you'll want some kind of back and butt cushions. XM Radio, snacks and drinks help pass the time. Stop and stretch every 3-4 hours if you can.

Hmmm... I want to go to Jackson to play in a draft-style hockey tournament. Don't know why Jackson, but for some reason, it has a draw for me. Would be a 27 hour drive. I've done a 7 hour trips in the Taco (Pittsburgh to Chicago, Pittsburgh to Louisville), it wasn't awful. Not sure how I would divide this up though. 2 very long legs on each end? I'd want to use as little vacation time as possible.
