Question for the masses! So a lady sent me a message offering me this piece of furniture for free.
    358696209_971805057398488_7854396154171959693_n.jpg

I went up to look at it yesterday and take measurements. It's beautiful solid cherry, but its huge! I can't take part of it, it's all or nothing. I was wandering around the house this afternoon looking for spaces where it might fit to be able to use it as is, but and its a pretty big maybe. I would have to get rid of some other storage which granted is currently hideous, but I'm not sure the stuff on it, would fit well in the other furniture. I could bring it here and pulled it apart and use the. pieces, but that would involve a lot of work too.

So the big question is.....is this piece worth it? It was $14k when it was purchases years ago, but it's unsellable now. Should I make room for it cause it's such a nice piece or bring it here and take it apart and use the cherry or decline the offer? I'm torn. :annoyed:

    1. How is it not sellable?

    2. Personally, I would sand that baby and paint it some cool color. I'd also find a spot in my house for it because its basically an extra closet.

    1. It's been posted for sale and was taken to an auctioneer who let her know it would not be worth selling. It's a giant TV stand but most people are mounting their TVs to their walls now and not looking for giant furniture for that area. This is what she was told which seems plausible to me.

    2. Exactly, I was thinking, this would make an awesome new closet, but the bedrooms don't fit it and the living space is clogged as it is, so something would have to go, which I'm not against, but what is being held on those pieces doesn't seem like the right fit this piece. Not sure.

    3. It does look heavy. and bulky, so hard to move.

Is it one piece? Or can you separate it?

    It's 3 pieces. Altogether it's almost 9' across.
