As what u and everyone else mentioned is why it has me torn to go look at them versus an older pickup with a rebuilt 22r. Sadly no 3.4s with 4x4 and a MT available in my area. Think one ive seen so far

I know a guy who is converting his 4x4 to 2wd who may have the parts you need to turn a prerunner into a 4x4 and would be interested in 2wd spindles... A bit of a drive though....

Whats the difference between a t100 and 1st gen tacoma?
Edit: appears t100s are torsion bar and more bigger for towing capacity? How would you even lift one? Weird

I'll bear this in mind, thank you!

T100 are the same IFS suspension design as the Toyota pickups that came before the tacoma. You can lift them but not much before they become bricks, their suspension only cycles like 6" total in the front. Good trucks though still, good candidates for solid axle swap.

You lift a T100 just like you lift the pickups. They were torsion bars as well.

The T100 was also made in Japan by Hino which is a truck manufacturer subsidiary of Toyota. Imo Japanese assembled vehicles just feel more polished. But there weren't many of them, the 2UZ would suit it better, and there aren't many left around. 1st gen Tundras just slightly piss me off with their interior build quality and resemblance to soap bar F-150s.

Didn't get a picture of it because I don't carry a phone at work anymore. But I saw a lowered silver R32 GTS-t manual sedan. They had the stock driver seat and a Recaro yellow race seat as the passenger which was odd? The rear wheels were some gold larger Enkeis and the fronts were stock. It also had drag style tires with some grooves.

I find it interesting to see cars like that out here. A car is so impractical and a lowered car is unusable with our roads.

Ty for the lengthy responses guys. might be a good option for me, there is one local.

so then the LT kits for the pickups would work for it as well?

    Edit : appears so

Oh yeah there's a dude up here that's been trying to sell a LT T100 for nearly a year. Looks like a nice build with some good cage build too. Just not a lot of interest in LT builds up here

Customer states: haven't run this powerpak since you guys serviced it last year, now it won't run.

Go through the records and we didn't service it last year. We serviced it 5 fucking years ago. Yea, you're paying for this repair chief20230714_141741.jpg

Just sucks that I don't have oven-safe food grade plastic wrap, so I couldn't pack the pie dough like I normally would for baking.

Ouch, I mean the rear hatch pic (when I was surprised it swung out the same way) showed signs of heavy use.

If you can fuck up the interior rear hatch that much in a short time frame, can only imagine how bad everything else is.

In my 11 years in the car business, having put a trade in value on many different vehicles, I have seen cars fucked up in ways that were far from negligent; some of the shit really had to be intentional and it took me seeing it in person to finally get it.

From overpacking said vehicle, with boxes and shit all over (including on the dash) without a care in the world for the leather seating or stereo display. Or literally standing on their hood and stomping on it to get it to shut, and other stupid shit.
