    Hi TW!

As the title states, the grilles on the newer limited edition trims started to grow on me. I tried to look if anyone was selling them but came up short. So the next best thing was to find an SR5 grille on FB marketplace and hit it with the rattle can!

As someone who went the pro grille/raptor light combo route asap to get rid of the cheese grater that came on my 2017 Sport, I grew tired of it rather quickly and wanted something new. I bought a newer year Sport/OR honeycomb grille and rocked that for a while, but still wanted something that would stand out more. Currently, I am using this customized SR5 grille that I want to share with you all!

This is the Limited edition grille that I am referencing. ***I realize now that I'm writing this up, that the OEM Limited grille has the back layer blackened out:rofl:That's okay, the full color match is a welcome change!***

I started by sourcing an SR5 grille off of FB marketplace for rather cheap and completely took it apart to paint each section individually. I made sure to take my time so I wouldn't break any of the tabs holding each component together. The only prep work I did was clean the grille with dish soap and hot water.

I applied 3-4 light coats of this spray paint (just this, no clear coat) that I got from Home Depot. Tbh, I did take a bit of a gamble on the color, but I think it turned out pretty close to OEM!

After drying overnight, I put everything back together and this is the final result.

I'm very happy with the results. Hopefully, I don't grow tired of this anytime soon!

    Really nice - three points:
1.) extra credit for originality and creativity - very classy.
2.) yes the cheese grater has to go (well unless you like them . . . then you can buy mine)
3.) the Pro grill is nice, better than the cheese grater . . . and everyone has one (well at least all the "cool" guys have one)
4.) And yeah, forget the Raptor lights (pssst . . . . they tacky and are out of style now anyway, but don't tell the "cool" guys)

Now watch who can count on their fingers.

Wow! Nice job! Looks like a one-off, factory-custom. Only suggestion is maybe if you do decide to add the Raptor lamps, maybe do a "temporary" install with materials that will allow a complete removal with no trace. (in case you change your mind.) ;) Maybe some light duty double-sided tape. I think it's just right as it is now... not overdone.
