    Me too! I was getting worried i needed a new engine harness or something.

    Yes, had a little crimp fitting. Ended up just cutting and soldering the wires. I may not have needed the new sensor, so whoever converts next should split these wires first thing.

    I had the same issue. I went to replace the crank sensor harness from the ecu to the sensor, when I cut the harness open I found the grounds spliced together. This was NOT shown in the factory wiring diagram.

    You're the whole reason I even thought to check it.on mine. You know all the stock ECUs bridge them internally so I don't know why they'd chose to do it in the harness as well and then not even notate it.

    I need to figure out some way to prevent the gear shift lever from flipping to neutral on its own. Twice now it's jumped out of drive when doing a pull - I assume it's instigated from the trauma of the trans downshifting

    I bet it's from your engine mounts and transmission moving and physically pulling the shifter. It's not uncommon on older tacos

    I've had this happen too, but not in a hard pull. It did it on a tough rock obstacle at Moab. We later found the trans mount rubber separated on one side of the mount.

    Less worn out mounts, the engine mounts control roll the most. If you have a torn one that'll be most noticable. I'm replacing mine with the ruff stuff poly mounts for the 22re. I have to get my hands on a 4x innovation trans mount though still.

    You can certainly get solid motor mounts but I don't think anyone is making a solid mount for the A340F.

    I was just thinking about this... It would be pretty easy to get off the shelf poly pucks to retrofit that mount... But honestly the most important ones are the engine mounts since the drive train doesn't move up and down much (what the trans mt deals with most) but it does want to roll from torque (what the engine mounts deal with)

    An interesting idea. How would you attach the pucks to the metal brackets? Some industrial strength glue I presume.

    You might be able to find an adhesive strong enough... Maybe some poly in a tube like Windo-Weld. But I thought simpler, like a bolt through em with a poly pucks on top too so there's room to flex in tension and compression

    I have Dan's old trans mount we can play with. I think I threw away my old torn one.

    The trans mount is brand new and it was pretty comparable to poly in stiffness suprisingly. I think it's more to do with the lever force from the shifter itself tbh.
    I might scrap together a little flip down locker for the D position and just screw it into the plastic. If I hold it I'm fine

    Oh yeah, what brand? I have a B&M right now and with the Spec Stage 5 Clutch it's a little bit of a bitch to shift at low RPMs.
