Hmmmm that's a tough one. If you get it and it doesnt fit/dont like it could you still be able to make a profit if you went through all the work of transporting it, making it into a project and selling it?

I think it's worth taking. You can figure out how to modernize it for resell or keep it.

Sounds like the recommendation is to take it and figure it out. Yes?

I'd take it and break it down to pieces that can be used for other projects. Those glass doors could be used on another cabinet. Drawers. So many things could be done with that, but yes it will take some work and imagination.

Since we settled the hair cut decision with a poll, we'll put our furniture decision to a poll as well. :help:

Greetings newcomer! Thanks for chiming in!
    :hattip:

Yeah I feel like the wood alone is kinda worth it, but I love the glass as well. I'm just trying not to walk into the work undertaking blind and foolish.

Thanks. I should point out that I'm a wood hoarder. Half of my shed is just random wood I've collected over the years, but it often comes in handy when I'm doing something and need something like a piece of birch trim. I got it in the shed. Table saw, planer, and router gets me what I need.

I'm no painter, and it looks like crap....just letting you know that if you have a place you can store it until you feel like messing with it....there's a million things you could do with it.

    It's free for a reason.
14 years ago, when my wife and I married and consolidated households, she had a similar 3 piece set that we thought we could easily sell as we did not need it.
Everything else sold without a problem, time came to sell the house and there it sat. Finally I hauled it out to the end of the driveway and put a big for free sign on it.
I waited by the window and pounced on the 1st family that took an interest in it. We folded down the seats in their old Astro Van and wedged the 2 side pieces in the back.
Finally with some cheap yellow cord I had in the garage we lifted and tied the center piece onto the factory roof rack. They had to leave the sliding side door and windows open to run the cord through, as well as the rear hatch because the side pieces were so long.
It looked ghetto fabulous going down the road, but they were thrilled to get it.

So, if you do get it remember this story in 10-20 years when YOU are trying to get rid of it. :D:D:D
