    Maybe?
    Probably, depending on weight.

    Electric vs Hybrid Turbo.
    Electric should win.

    Does any of it matter?
    Not to me.

Cyber Truck is a different customer from the Tacoma.

A quasi-fictional truck that really never made it past prototype stage could blow the doors off the starship Enterprise if it wanted.

Or you know, you could compare it to an actual electric truck that's being sold with actual volume right now. And no, until prices come down so that EVs aren't double that of their gas equivalent, the Tacoma market remains pretty confident.

Until I can pour electricity out of a 5 gallon can, I’m sticking to something with an ICE.

Can you even get a cyber truck? I'm not convinced Tesla will ever build one that the customer could buy. The Tesla Semi is questionable itself and those are on the road, the semi is more complex than a pick up should be.

Electric truck sales don't seem to hot at thd moment. You have the R1T, Lightning, Hummer and the other truck from GM. I guess it's a 3/4 ton with an avalanche body, kind of makes the Lightning look more appealing. The R1T is cool if you want a more lifestyle oriented truck. None of these electrics appeal to me first they are battery powered, second I don't really like the configuration as they are all crew cab short beds. Most of them have a one piece body and they are all luxos, accept for the Lightning pro, and the Chevy W/T but I can't buy either one if I wanted one due to limited production numbers. ICE is initially cheaper, and there are no longterm statistics showing electric is cheaper in the long run.

Sales are down on EV, and new ones are seeing price cuts driving down resale value. Not really seeing the upside here. Used values should decrease as battery technology improves, and customers will want the latest battery technology, again no upside to the financial side of EV ownership.

If any one could pull off volume sales and delivery of an electric pick up it should be Tesla, but they are cutting costs to move inventory as they continue to ramp up production. It doesn't make much sense really. Adding a truck to their line up could improve things, but at what cost, and for how long? Makes you say WTF is going on over there?

Oil prices look like they will see an uptick in the short term. Whether or not that will have much impact on the EV market who knows?

I can't see any electric truck model outselling a gas powered 4G Tacoma in the United States or any other NA country. Given pick up truck sales in NA account for the majority of global truck sales. Electric pickups won't outsell ICE trucks any where.

sure. so could the compact ram truck rumors, as well as the compact toyota truck rumors.

what difference does it make as long as you can get one if you want one?

It's the size of an F250 and will cost well above a taco if it ever comes out. It's also still vaporware as far as I'm aware.

Speaking of cars that currently don't exist, Tesla is a company that named a targa the Tesla Roadster. It's not directly relevant, but its indicative of some weird things happening within that company.

I think it would be cool to have a Tacoma with 4 doors removed like Jeep.

At least with the cybertruck you won't have to worry about deciding between 5k vs 10k oil changes :D

That customer base can't possibly have much crossover. It's like Crocs vs. high heels. Tacoma nerds and Cyber nerds are very different. The Cybertruck is a flex, but a different kind of flex than a 4th gen.

And besides, how many zipties does it take to fix a cyber truck?
