    Intermittent wipers…so far
    Someone on here mentioned upgrading to intermittent wipers, how is this done

    Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
    It is all in the switch. Without looking it is Quite possible the years might be different so find one for year if possible.

    They should have been standard equipment but weren’t until the 2nd generation. I got the one piece intermittent wiper module assembly from a salvage yard, $99. Back then it was $349 from Toyota. Connecting it couldn’t have been easier. Remove the four screws holding the steering wheel housing. Unscrew the two screws holding your old module in, then plug and play in the new one piece module assembly and screw it down. Attach the housing back on. Took me 10 minutes in the parking lot with just a medium sized Phillips head screwdriver. Sweet!

    The intermittent wiper switch handles work off many different toys,....4 runners, sienna, ect
    will fit in the steer column: however if you have column shifting its a tight fit, slight interference with the shifter....


    Worth the mod IMO....plug and play....

    and so glad I had it this year.....for sure.


    got used a used sienna one off ebay for $40.

    goes from full to about a 12 sec delay.

    Funny I never use mine even though it works fine .

    At the slowest setting the speed is still to fast.

    Sometimes I wish I had a slower frequency too.

    The stock Tacoma one I have on the slowest setting is probably a 4 second delay.

    @O’Silver_Taco that Sienna one is really a 12 second frequency?

    Very easy upgrade to do for most people the wiper switch is a easy swap
