There is an old mill building (shops/restaurant/brewery) along the river and on Saturdays during the summer there is live music and a sort of farmers type market..
There is also a ballroom that hosts shows, weddings and other private events.

The parking situation in sucks even without the crowds - super tight lot, limited space..

It has been like this forever, it's tearing up the roadway, and no one seems to do shit about it..

The locals avoid the place like the plague on these days - most everyone there are 'tourists' - they come out from the city to -enjoy the market-

Just enough to look kinda cool.
Start making complaints to the police. Just call the dispatch line not 911 and complain. After a while they’ll get sick of hearing from y’a and do something. Bonus if you can get more people to call too

The people who live in the area have had meetings on the parking situation around there, nothing ever happens..

Calling and complaining won't do shit - and I am not tryin to :frusty:
The county sheriff doesn't give a f*ck - they have real problems to deal with...

It is easier to just take photos, post em here and make fun of em.. then drive away
I get a good laugh when someone gets their side view mirror taken out and I would pay $$$ to watch them get towed..

Get an old f150 junker. Weld/chain a piece of RR track to the passenger side and say you got "squeezed" and your only options were to hit the vehicle with kids in it or hit the vehicles that were illegally parked.

There must be a tow company or more than one that the Sheriff requests service from if they are the one's responding to accident calls. They might not want to deal with requesting the tows. The tow company might not even have the time to deal with the volume, but I'm sure they like making money. Surely something could be done for the most egregious violations on public roads. If the patrons come from more urban areas, they should be more accustomed to being towed.

The issue becomes, "who" is responsible for the area that they park. The Market/Venue would never call due to the increased volume of sales.

The tow company doesn't care unless it's required to move it. The local municipality would be the only ones who could put such plans in motion, but I'm sure they would get a ton of backlash from the local businesses if their $$ intake dropped as that directly affects taxes going back to the municipality

so ultimately it's a lose-lose kind of situation. That is until truckers start using the road and slice off the sides of cars since fitting two takes up the whole road :notsure:

so oddly enough - i work at a local business -
the owner told me this past Saturday that he finds the whole Market a complete PITA with no $$ upside..
there is also no tax incentive - there is no municipality - so the county gets whatever tax $$ there is..
it is all just some feel good/do nothing bullshit..

AND if this shit happened on weekdays - those logging trucks would take the F**K out of those cars
I would go up there and sit on the deck and watch and laugh my ass off!

    This is a dick move.

But I don’t get all the hubbub about this kind of stuff, he’s not taking up two lanes, isn’t hurting anyone and is clearly just trying not to get his truck dinged by A holes who park too close and door ding ya. Am I missing something here. Why all the hate for this sort of thing?

Yes it would be up to the municipality to enforce the parking on the public street. Let the venue complain all they want their patrons are impeding traffic. You are right it is a lose lose situation when it comes to revenue.

I have seen business call on their paying patrons when the patrons don't respect fire lanes and no parking zones. They even announce the description of the vehicles and tag number while the car is being hooked up.

I believe the argument is sense the striped area is curved on the end his ass is hanging out in the lane of travel. And it's sloppy, could of hugged the line and been OK. Also those look to be good sized spaces .
