Link to me a thread if I missed one that already answered my question but….

I am switching wheels and (mounted) tires with a buddy. We both have TPMS on our wheel/tires that is obviously synced to our current truck(s). We are literally just swapping the entire wheel/tire set from one truck and then putting it on the other truck. Essentially he wants my bronze wheels and I want his black wheels so we are just trading.

How much are we looking to spend get our trucks to register the new TPMS on the new set of wheel/tires. I’m assuming a place like discount tire can sync the TPMS, or am I an idiot for this assumption?

Free if you do it yourself with techstream or aftermarket tool. You can get the id's from each truck if using techstream.

It cost me $150 at the dealer to have TPMS synched to my truck.

IMG_0763.jpg there is a button in the truck that programs it to the sensors .my dodge did not need to be programmed. I did a direct swap to the new vehicle and it synced itself . Haven’t tried this on the taco but worth a shot .

Unfortunately it doesn't work in tacoma and Toyota's.
Need techstream app to replace TPMS IDs.

I would post in regional forum. There are tons of members with techstream + tuning guys that use techstream. I'm sure they can help for a small fee.
