Just as the title says. This is specifically for the trail editions since they come with a little lift from factory. I've read and seen from the interwebs that if your 2 inches or more new uca's are recommended. Will that be the same for the trail edition since it sits higher from factory height?

Nothing changed with the geometry. If the trail edition is +1 in from the factory and it's recommended around 2in of lift from factory stock height needing UCAs .... Then yes much more than +1 on the TE stock height you will need it.

    In fact.

2nd gen to 3rd gen geometry and UCAs didn't change. 3rd gens stock are +1 over 2nd gen, and most recommended an aftermarket UCAs at 2in over stock height of a SECOND GEN... Which really means a UCA is borderline needed at +1in over stock height of a 3rd gen

I figure the TE sits +1.1 in front and .5 in back plus the icon leveling kit in front 3.1 total and 2.5 in rear. It drives fine in its current condition, the shop I took it to aligned it knowing it had a lift and I get no shakes at all even at high speeds. I just feel all the bumps. I knew I was going to sacrifice ride quality. I don't work very far and don't do any rock crawling and not plan to, just trying to make the truck a little more capable I guess. Thanks again for the reply and the info, very much appreciated .

What were your alignment specs? Im going to bet very little caster and very little droop at that lift height. If you are 4x4, prepare for CV boots and CV's needing to be replaced sooner than later.
