I bet lol. Still I bet the video would be pretty cool.
Here is mine going through a “flooded” area. I would not have if I didn’t know the area or it was a known dangerous place. We have some areas near here that flood and have taken several people over the past few years.

When I had ‘07 Tacoma , I used time lapse feature on cam. I drove around. I have a video somewhere. I haven’t posted it online yet.

What kind of dash cam do you have?

It’s a few years old and the wifi portion is a little slow. You also have to stop recording to turn the wifi on and get on the app to go through the videos

 

Gotcha. My Garmin is the same way, you can’t record at the same time as looking through the videos.

 

Ha! That reminded me that I drove through the flood years ago. Cop was behind me and he noticed the flood and stopped his car so he watched me going through. [patting on my dash] “good boy”

 

Yeah these trucks are super capable for their size, I haven’t been stuck yet *knocks on wood*

 

Yeah my dad told me it's not good idea... I was like "what? you obviously haven't seen tacomas going through floods these days. There are bunch of flood videos that Tacomas have been going through." I turned TV on at his house and pulled up YouTube. I showed him some videos... he was impressed. He seemed jealous.. lol

 

I definitely don’t make it a regular thing because I don’t want to mess anything up but yeah I was pleased with the results today haha

 

I know what you meant... Same thing here... just once a while depending on which trail you go to. Some trails have flood and others don't.

 

Yeah a little water always makes the trails more interesting!

 

Got some off brand traction boards. No way I’m paying $300+ for Maxtrax. I should have bought them on sale last month.

These had really good reviews so hopefully they are decent. If they break then I’ll consider Maxtrax lol



I also dropped the spare to make sure the chain and mechanism still work; jacked the truck up on the OEM jack as well to make sure that’s functioning. All seems to be in working order. I’m really surprised the OEM jack is tall enough to work on a truck with a 2” lift.

 

Mine is orange... I thought about getting black ones but it will be hard to find in dark night... Orange is more visible at night.

I am planning to get a winch after I get a bumper for front end.

 

That’s smart. Have you picked a bumper yet?

 

Not yet.. I plan to get the truck serviced within a month then after that, I start looking for bumper or wheels for next mod.

@Road_Warrior where did you get your grill? I'm in the market but I'm having a hard time figuring out where to snag one. There are so many websites and some aren't legit.
