Priorities

 

It is one of those that I keep an eye out for..

I am good at being patient on the used car shopping - when you insist on a MT car/truck with a specific trim, you gotta be willing to wait and can't be picky about paint color..

 

I got super lucky on that one - and the paint is in amazing shape to boot!

Looking for a 4.0 V6 MT OR AC was like finding a needle in a haystack, so paint color was the last thing I was concerned about - took me almost a year to find a non/rusted one..

 

Dealerships and their consequences have been a disaster for the human race.

We just charged MSRP for popular vehicles for those not local.

 

Our local Toyota dealership doesn’t actually. They seem pretty cool. It was just a joke really, but idk how anyone is paying 180k for a Corolla.

What would you guys do?

I have my 03 5 lug taco, its got 280k and needs cats. Paint is fucked. Needs new trim front and rear.

Should I try paint it and sell it, or just say fuck it and sell it as it is. I want a 4wd beater again. Its sad I want my old truck back lol.

 

Keeping that one saved for now bc it's luckily a slow market and has been sitting for a minute. Really want a gas saver with a standard if i can. (Not ready for 12 mpg again) There's a 1991 I'll checkout sometime this week long as the seller gets back to me.


The 22re did NOT have valve issues like the later rz models from what I've read? (Correct me if wrong) Guy claims he changed the timing chain guide, and it has 212k on the body. (sunroof too lol)


Getting a new truck is like an anxiety ball of watching for red flags with a new relationship, i swear

 

I'd rather have the 3RZ than a 22RE, nothing wrong with the 22RE but it makes absolutely no power and it isn't good on fuel at all either. At least with proper gears a 3RZ has some oomph to move a 1st gen and can get MPG in the high teens low 20s on the hwy.
