Can you please clarify this comment? Did you not attach any of the straps, front or back, not even the two front-to-back straps on the front seat covers?

Yeah, I'm not real clear on that. What I did was keep from attaching straps to each other so they weren't being pulling from different angles. I anchored most of them using the underside metal frames or ribs (see representative image) that the foam of the seats are mounted on. I pulled them taut before fastening them but not so much as to break them. However, I did use a looped tie strap to connect the side to side straps to each other on the rear seats since there was nothing to really attach them to. I should have taken pics but was too lazy. It took over an hour just to install the rear covers but I took my time and wanted to do it right. That's what happens when you get old!

Nice...Looks like pulling the seats, or at least tilting them back/forward, is the best route. I don't have the patience to fish around under there.

Yeah, to blindly attach the straps in the front is asking for trouble. If you do it the right way, which is a pain, you'll be very happy with the results and you won't risk messing up wiring jumpers or interfering with the seat tracks in the future.

Can someone explain exactly and post a photo of exactly how this is supposed to work with the seat cover placed behind the plastic trim? I just ended up running mine over the plastic. There is no room for all that fabric wadded up and tucked above the control box. Did you remove cover material, cut holes??PXL_20230528_214807489.jpg

I have the manual seats and I understand that the power seats posed a problem hence your issue. Not sure what you need to do but I'd definitely do more research before cutting and/or removing the bottom seat cover.

I unbolted the seat and pushed cover between the seat and plastic. Do not cut anything. It all fits.

You have the electronic controlled seat? Are you saying behind the control box?

Yes, I have a power seat. I did not take off any trim pieces ot buttons. Just tucked the cover in and then fished out the straps to tighten. Covers just sit on top of the controls, behind the trim and they have not moved.

The velcroed slot on the side is for the wire loom to fit thru. Run the straps under the rails, over the face of the seat controller box and under the trim, hook to the metal springs below the cushion.

I'll be honest, i didnt comb through all 17 pages.

For you third gen guys, is the front passenger seat 1 or 2 pieces? I just picked up a set for my second gen, and my driver's seat is a one piece set up and fits perfect. the passenger seat is 2 pieces for some reason, and it looks and fits like garbage...

Both of the front seats in Gen 3 are one piece.

Interesting. I cant see any reason why one of the second gens would be a 2 piece and the other would be one piece. I sent a message to rough country with pictures, hopefully mine is a fluke because it looks horrible.

I am guessing the passenger seat was designed for either the older base seat the folds in half or the TRD seats that have more bolstering and you have the opposite.

Its weird. I have TRD Sport seats, here's a picture of the driver's side. fitment is awesome.

This is as far down as the passenger side goes, its snug up top and can't be pulled anymore.

I feel like with how the material is shaped out the outer edge, this should come down a lot more.

Yah, see my post above. It looks like you passenger seat is cut for the version of the 2nd gen seat that folds into a table.

I'm running the same seat covers on my 2012 with no real issues. Keeping in mind that the RC seat covers are not intended to be used on 2nd gens.
