Ordered a 2023

Put in an order 4-7-2023. They told me 4 to 6 months. Any chance I will get it before they shut down to build 2024. Anybody know when they will shut down 2023 production line?

Toyota doesn't do orders, they do allocations. Depending on what you requested it could be 4 weeks to 4 months to never. Seems that most TRD OR's are coming in loaded near me, if you want some strange config it may be difficult and it won't fulfill.

 

Did they say you would get a 23 or is it what ever they had? My wild guess is you are in the 23 queue and will get a 23.

 

All I know is I put money down and told them I wanted a white SR5 LOL. Only thing I added was the chrome package. I know most of you guys hate the chrome. I`m an old timer who still likes a hint of chrome!

 

It’s simple.

Get online, make some calls, find a truck outfitted how you like it on a lot. Agree to a price. Go purchase vehicle.

Then get your deposit back.

Oh, and enjoy the new truck.

 

Yep. I think this is standard amongst most manufacturers now. At least for Honda, Acura, toyota and I think subaru.

Why wait 4-6 months for a truck you can find on the lot anywhere in the country?

 

I don't believe you will get a 2024 when you paid for a 2023. However, I believe you will get what you ordered. But since they're not true orders, it will take time for one to be allocated to your dealership for you to take possession of. But you (and the dealership) are on the list now. Nothing left to do but wait.

 

I don't think you will have a hard time getting a SR5 in time. That's a pretty common trim.

 

Currently showing 146 White Taco SR5's on CarGurus, plenty to choose from.

 

Where are you located? There is currently one sitting on the lot at the dealership in my town.

I can't imagine you not getting a Tacoma if it's just the sr5. If your dealer is good they will delete the extra crap toyota tries to add to the allocation when it gets allocated. Mine was good but I heard horror stories on here of 1-2 k or more of add-ons.

Except for the chrome, white, or black sr5 tacoma's are very popular as fleet vehicles. Dealers usually have them on their lots.
