Yes, the squeeze bags are the sh!t.
The diffs aren't picky. Pretty much and GL5 will work fine, in the 75-90 weight.
If you can't find the crush washers and just want to do it this weekend, Teflon tape on those plugs works pretty well.

Would anyone happen to have a part number or link to the crush washers?

Instead of starting a new thread. Just curious if most people are using full synthetic instead of the standard for their gear fluid? I’m changing both my differentials and transfer case. I see many are using 75-90w as it seems 75-85w is not common.

It probably doesn’t really matter as long as you change it at the recommended interval.
I just used Mobil 1 75-90 synthetic. Didn’t notice any difference from what was in there from factory.

Thank you, I still ended up starting a new thread as I think I was most curious about using synthetic, I’m older now and change is hard for me but if it works better then I made need to change. I appreciate you letting me know that it’s worked good for you!

No problem, I’m old also. Plenty of info on this site for us to keep our trucks in good shape and save some money from SS checks.

The middle two are for the transfer case.
Copper is front diff drain, and the three identical smaller ones on bottom are for front diff fill and rear diff drain and fill.

Mobil 1... cut the tube to open it up a bit more and it'll flow pretty well.

-Correct me I'm wrong, but to get the bottle angled enough to pour into the rear diff, you have to drop the spare tire?

That's correct... but it gives me a bit more room to work, and doesn't take that much more time.

May give the squeeze bags a try if it's available with Mobil 1.
