Did a thing at a carshow and got on the podium in the class (truck wild). These aren't common in the Midwest

before & after of my saturday afternoon. tried out this Cerakote headlight fix. they're not perfect, but they look less like dumpster juice. for $17 I figured it's worth a shot.

like anything else, the ones who talk trash about it probably didn't do it right to begin with. If its as good as their gun coating it should hold up for decent amount of time.

    Replaced serpentine belt.
Replaced both no. 2 idler pulleys.
    Replaced no. 1 idler pulley.
    Replaced bearing in tensioner pulley.

When I started the truck I was a bit nervous, never done this before, was kind of expecting my engine to make a terrible gargle death rattle, followed by a belt snap, squeaking noises and then smoke.

Started right up, sounds great, job well done!

^Isn't the tensioner pulley the same as the lower pulley?

How many miles. Son, with my old 2012, has 180k on his truck. Did serpentine around 145k but I expect his idlers are due.

No it isn’t, it might barely fit but from my research it doesn’t fit correctly. Your options are to buy a new tensioner and just use the pulley, replace the entire tensioner setup, 4 hour job, or just buy a new bearing on the cheap and replace that. I chose the cheapest and easiest option.

I’m at 122,000, and hearing a few squeaks every now and then, nothing major though. I figured I’d stay ahead on the preventive maintenance and just get it done.

Installed new fog lights and wiring harness in my 2006 Prerunner, 191k miles. Should have done this years ago...

After 7 years with the Optima Yellow Top it died. It registered dead but still turned over enough to get me to Advanced Auto.

I got a AGM Diehard Platinum. Man night and day starting difference. I wanted to plan out a different setup but it was time.

    Wicked looking taco!
Is that Jeep next to you bro leaning on the Jeep next to it? Looks like maybe on its tire, there’s no way in hell I would allow someone to do that on my truck.
