Old school baby! I even added a chrome exhaust tip!
You may be asking, why did you debadge the truck if you like chrome? Well because the stealership put those cheap black covers over the emblems. IMO - looked like crap. If the original chrome emblems were there, I would have kept them. LOL.

Looks great. Silver & chrome are a perfect old school look.

Indeed, my DCLB came with all sorts, and over the last year, all that remains of that tacky chrome are the 2020 headlights. Just cant justify $1500+ to get rid of a couple chrome strips inside the light fixtures.

Ill be 52 this year and am right in the middle of Gen-X, so hating the chrome look is definitely not just a millennial thing.

I don’t mind chrome. It can look good. But the SR has like 3 chrome pieces that just seem random and out of place. So I agree with removing or covering it for sure.

Correct. Few years older. My wife is your age (despises chrome) Chrome is overdone - thats' what brought the huge backlash - one reason is the factory can slam chrome parts on everything and it "matches" - that is the bottom line. Chrome is "glitzy" (but again, its' overuse brought it down), lacks "toughness" vibe, lacks "rugged" vibe, and lacks "sporty" vibe in modern day - I could go on. 3 strikes.

Yeah, black was born to go w/ quicksand, voodoo blue, and MGM, etc. Chrome looks especially bad w/ the "rugged" color of quicksand - Peanut butter & I don't know... meatballs. Just not a good combo.

Again, Toyota FINALLY adjusting. Hardly any, if any at all, chrome on the '24 TRD OR exterior and Pro of course.

Bastards (I really don't mind snakes nor have never feared them like most people - rats creep me out way more) are nightmare in my pigeon loft - egg eaters and a b*tch to trap or catch in the act. Caught one curled up in 1" of water on hot day inside water holder in loft. That one eats no more eggs.

Bandwagons... they are so popular 'round these parts.

Chrome, black plastic, let's see what's next...

Just wait until the horrid gold-plate trend catches on again... what an atrocious attack to the senses and all things of good taste...

Oh - but it looks so 'fancy' and expensive on the old aunts' pt cruiser....

I hear tatoo removal business is now bigger than tattoo 'infliction'.

I'm waiting to see how these youthful pieces art drift in the next decade...
