this is the non-name-brand variation of design that i know of. honestly, $170 isn't terrible:
    https://www.amazon.com/SPTA-Professional-Stainless-Polisher-Burnishing/dp/B01HB22E76

i don't believe hf sells any variation of that tool.

For what it is worth I use .023 wire unless I need to get serious .

swap feeders for the one set up for .045 for the bucket repairs

I think that's the one I've seen people use. $170 is enough to no suck. Thanks for the link.

Lol no worries, my BIL wanted me to join cause of my martial arts background, since afterall he does body building as well as some MMA. I don't do either.

Beach? Fuck man...2 1/2hrs away from the coastline.

Before moving here I was only 10 mins from the beach :bananadead:

Why do you ask? You had a beach bod?

So my BIL former team captian was their armorer...but sucked cause he said it'd take him damn near 3 hours just to drill out some rivets through springsteel.

And he couldn't weld for shit either.

I have a half hour minimum (even for a 5min job) and just give them a $50/hr rate. I can knock out like 3 different jobs for them in an hour on several pieces of gear so everyone's happy and I make a quick buck.

just curious I have been through where you live but not since 1974 or 75 .

What ever road was the main route before 99 was limited access then catching Ca 41 up to do some climbing in my youth.

Things must have changed quite a lot

From when you took the younger kwikvette I figured at least 2 hours .

Is there an online repo for CAD files to laser cut? I was looking at the archive garage rear buckets. They look really nice but I'm considering laser cutting my own and want to see if anyone has already published some dxf files for them.

    Ahh, 41

So you've been through the Central Valley.

I live right off the 99 in Fresno County now but before moving here a year and a half ago I lived in Monterey County...just minutes away from the coastline.

Definitely drove many of my Vettes through there on the 1.

    @Bivouac

You'll be happy to know, that it's always been industry-rich out here and there are tons of welding and fab shops throughout, always looking for help.

So maybe that's why cost of consumables is very affordable not to mention tons of supply?

    Very Valid point

More and more industries are closing.

The largest employer in the next county just closed moving the operation down south.

My CNC crew, we all love clean cuts.

I love it even more when it's on old ass, partially rusted scrap I got for free.

This is after hitting the entire surface with a wire wheel on an angle grinder.

    20230718_110034.jpg

Only dross was at the bottom edge, this is the backside with no cleanup.

    20230718_110256.jpg

    Cleeeeeean edges

    20230718_110307.jpg

Someone saw my post about it and happens to live 15mins from me so he wanted me to make him one too for his LC.

It's a 1973 Saylor Beall pump witb a Toshiba 2hp single phase motor. Been holding pressure @100psi for 2 days, so pretty confident tank does not leak.
