    Just wanted to meet other Tacoma owners since I see so many of them on the roads here in Virginia. Originally from California but moved to Virginia 20 years ago before Cali turned into the nations first third-world state. Can't believe there are any right-minded people left in Cali.

    Thanks for the welcome and the tip. ANy special threads on rusting frames. Took my truck in last Friday for annual safety inspection and I can't get a clearance due to the rust issue. Checked with another mechanic and he wanted $5,000 to fix the problem. Checked with Toyota and they said that they couldn't help because the truck was out of warranty (regular and recall). Said they had issued 2 recall letters to the previous owner but didn't say if that owner had brought the truck in for recall repair. Checking with them again to try and determine if they had done a recall correction because if they did it failed miserably.
