I almost got green but figured it would get old after awhile. Tan was my #1 they made me want a Tacoma but they stopped in 2017 and it was too hard to find

Hyper flash? I thought it was just a switch to swap between modes

Freezing/shutting down: on my 18 taco I complained about it at every [free] service when new and got the range from blank stares to updating and reloading radio SW. Dealer never solved it. “Mysteriously” all problems disappeared when the free sirius subscription expired. Haven’t had any problems until I activated my free 3 months following a recent service. Now it’s freezing / shutting down again.

Looks like you either have this inline or not if you want rapid flash

Found a camper that fit my Taco and bought it. Timbrens are on the way to fix the squat on stock suspension. It's over gross, but so are 90% of motorhomes/RVs out there on the road and their insurance still covers them. It's on 10-ply tires and after I fix the squat with the Timbrens I'll call it a day and enjoy.

I'm having a "Smart Entry and Start System" error along with a "Check Charging System" error on my 2018 TRD Pro and it won't start. I have searched the threads here but haven't had any luck so I figured I'd try here. I disconnected the battery overnight and replaced the key fob battery and it still won't start. I can start using the remote start with the key fob so I know the key fob works and the battery is fine. This is the second time its happened in about 3 months. It somehow started last time after multiple battery disconnects and but now it won't start at all. Any ideas?

Close to 400 miles on a tank, but not willing to drive around just for the last mile - the station closes early if business is slow…..

Ummm, then my Miller cat shield must be different. Mine covered the auto trans pan and the front mounting screws, that thread into the thin CRES plate, were a pain in my a$$. I removed the shield when trying to figure out what turned out to be rodents had chewed the wire harness that was now hidden by the cat shield. The shield provided the perfect perch for the little bastards. To get the shield off I had to grind one of the forward mounting bolts in two. It was spinning in the aforementioned thin CRES plate. If I decide to get cat protection it’ll be the ones that have separate shields for each cat. No perch and they don’t cover the trans pan.

You know whats weird, when i bought my truck in Canada In middle of May, full tank of fuel was 603 to the tank. NOW today I fill up and I get 499k to a tank. I lost 100k some how. Strange. I mean I didn't buy the truck for fuel economy or Efficiency BUT 100k lost after 2.5 months of driving ? I don't even have 2400k on the truck.

Yup, missing that. Thought the harness that came in the box was the hyper flash but it wasn’t. Thanks for posting a pic, hadn’t seen one till now.

Interesting. Got it back today. Service manager said they reset the ECU, wiped the unit, reset it to factory, paired an employee phone, drove it and it was fine so we should have no problems. (This is on our 2023 Venza, not our Taco BTW. ) It didn't even make it off of the lot before it started having more problems. Some kind of distorted Toyota logo appeared in the middle of a map and everything started pixelating, then it shut down. Now they have to call Toyota to see if they'll replace it. Awesome little SUV, except for that. We'll see how it goes. :fingerscrossed:

Dug through the Owner's Manual and didn't see any reference to it.

Yep, tried that too. Held it after the light show for a good 30 seconds, maybe more... right in the dealership's customer bay. Nada. :( They were all too busy running around like headless chickens so I went home.

So yours does the light show bit like mine?

Just tried that sequence while I stood beside it. Zip. Nada. Crickets. It's not that important at all since it's in the garage. Just thought it'd be cool if/when I ever needed it. Think I'll leave it at that now. My locks will either get worn out or my key fob will die. :D
