tell him not to worry, when his POS breaks down, you'll be more than happy to give him a ride to his mechanic.

i dont get crap, but i get friends\relatives asking me why i got the truck. i also get complete strangers asking me about the truck because they are looking in to buying one. i dont know half the stuff people on this website know about our trucks, but i think i convince people its a good truck to buy.

I got a bunch of crap when I traded my SRT10 in or asked if I miss it yet. Yes for somethings I do miss the SRT10 but as a whole the Tacoma is going to be a better vehicle for the long haul. I also go a bunch of crap from my dad thinking I'm going to be in debt for along time since my Dodge wasn't paid off yet. I'm really happy with my tacoma it does what I want it to do.

OP - Just debadge the thing and tell the dipshit boss that you got rid of the toyota and now drive a truck that was built in North America. He sounds very stupid enough to buy it and let you park wherever. How about you ask him why the fuck is it that a GM plant in Louisiana is shutting down because they can't get the parts they need to continue operations FROM JAPAN.

Actually, I've found that you can fill'er up with rice. Amazing but true. With gas prices being what they are, it's nice to know there's a viable alternative:D

My buddy, who drives a Ram 2500, taught his son that Tacomas are girl trucks so whenever I go over to his place his son asks why I drive a girl truck...WTF!!

I've owned a good number cars as well as trucks.I've always come back to Toyota. I had someone giving me some BS about American job loss because of my truck and the down economy, first off I told him that manufacturing and assembly occurs in the US for alot of Toyota cars, (oops guess he didnt know how ignorant he was) next I said, so you would rather give your money to the middle east?? he shit a brick. I said where do you think most of our oil comes from? You want me to buy a truck that gets 13mpg on the highway so I can pay them more money??? Sheesh

This might not fit the topic exactly, but before the Tacoma I had a Hemi Ram quad cab. Some of my co workers asked me on several occasions why I drove that big truck, especially since I dont regularly pull anything. I just liked having the big truck and the power. So when I traded for the Taco, they now are asking, why did you trade for that? As If I was crazy or something. So a lot of people seem to think I'm crazy.

To me, there's nothing more patriotic and American than having the freedom to shop where I want to, when I want to and buy whatever I want. When citizens are pressured to "buy american" then there's no incentive from the automakers to produce a good vehicle and quality goes way down.

Good Day Comrade! Enjoying your Government Motors Pickup eh! wouldn't want anyone to know you dont support the motherland!!

No. It's codified in law what discrimination means: race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, age, etc.

In California where I live survivors of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor get special license plates "Pearl harbor survivor". One old guy had that plate on his Mitsubishi!! If you don't know Mitsubishi is the Japanese company that made bombers in WW2. If a Pearl Harbor survivor can drive a Japanese car anyone can.

Hey everyone, first post, love the site. I get crap all the time from my girlfreinds dad and brother. Anytime I try talking about what i want to do with the truck, its always "why, your just going to get stuck". He has a dodge ram and says he can tow me around when ever i get stuck. Cant say anything either cause it my girlfriends dad. BRUTAL
