Took off one rear decal today. Wife approved. The other one goes tomorrow.

A few months ago I installed an Apple Car Play wireless adapter (more here). It worked great, but I wanted to tidy things up a bit so based on a tip from TW member @chstaco I ordered this USB adapter cable from Ali-Express which allowed me to hide the Car Play adapter inside the dash. Although the OE USB port in the dash is dead now, no one's the wiser when I get in, start it up and everything works! ;)

Took me about 30 minutes start to finish.

I thought about putting the new cable in the glovebox, but I really don't have any reason to unplug the adapter to use that USB port anyway. If somebody had a thumb drive or another phone to plug in it'd probably work though.

Before photo with the adapter tucked underneath, the Car Play adapter plugged into the new USB cable adapter in the back of the stereo and after. Look ma, no adapter! :D

I am thinking of getting the very same. What part is such a pain? Maybe I will ponder the thought awhile.

You must not have a long extension. Did mine 2 weeks ago and only took 30 minutes

Really happy with the way they turned out. I'll definitely have to leave a great review for them

Accessing the two 10mm nuts in recessed holes behind the headliner. Cut up knuckles and sore hands to get to them. There’s a couple videos on YouTube if you search Tacoma third brake light. I decided not to drop the back half of the headliner and it’s a pain.

Any idea why my truck sounds like a dryer most of the time I go past 60 mph?

Got the alignment and a rebalance recently hoping that it might be a tire issue. Have an eibach stage 2 lift installed with 2” rear blocks and a cb drop kit

I’m late to the party but if you’re talking about remote start you just click the lock button twice a for a second or two intervals then the 3rd time hold the lock button. I tried it and works for me but I normally use the my Toyota app To start it since you can do it from a farther distance . If your truck is a stick it won’t work I believe .

Yes it’s probably an option I guess . It’s seems there is always some thing we miss like with mine . Didn’t even think of the bed lights but that’s an easy fix although the only other thing I wish I had was the front and top camera view .I was really surprised it didn’t have it since it is the premium package . But very happy with everything else .
