My wife asked me THE question the other day. “Just how many of these do you need?”

Nice choice. I have an astigmatism as well so the Eotech reticle is quite fuzzy for me. The best optic for me has been an ACOG. Whatever tech they use the reticle is super sharp.

She’s pretty supportive so I can’t say much. She does have over 300 plants so my return is usually how many more of them do you need but I support her in that as well. We have our hobbies mine just tend to be expensive

Good point. I have some but picking up a few extra lpk’s and maybe a bcg or 2 couldn’t hurt.

I could probably build 5 or 6 lowers just on spare parts I have in my house

I like having that many so when a friend gunsmifs their own garbage and it needs trouble shooting...I have plenty of parts to try to narrow down what needs replacing...plus I don't have to order shit if something breaks during a range day

The formula is N+1 where N = the number you currently have.
Therefore the answer is always "one more"

Decided to go ahead and try the Slate Black Infustries rail panels and hand stop. Idk if I’ll like the hand stop compared to the Magpul vertical grip or not but I guess I’ll see

    and new T-shirt

Can anyone give me a layman's terms answer about gun trusts. My two sons live in WA and Ore. We are in AZ and I want to purchase NFA items they can use/take possession of at some point. Need an attorney?

    Yes. Yes.

When it comes to property rights and trusts, you want the documents drafted correctly. Pay the (wo)man. You may need an attorney from *each state*, with state laws re: firearms being the mess they are.

I had great luck with nationalguntrusts.com but my trust was much simpler with just me on it to keep my NFA items consolidated to one trust with the option to add folks in the future.

given the multi state nature of what you want I would definitely consult an attorney(s).

Especially with Washington’s new mess of an assault weapon ban. Suppressors are still kosher but him taking possession of any SBRs is gonna be a hard no unless the law gets repealed. You can’t transport anything “scary” into the state at all. Lots of people with SBR from 4s pending got screwed when it passed. Even though they already paid for the item they are barred from taking possession now.

Even with grandfathered in items if you take it out of Washington it is now technically illegal for the lawful owner to bring it back into the state when they return.

Can anyone recommend a good cleaning & parts mat?

What did you use as a guide on your first build?

    Yeah.
I bought a Wheeler tool kit that came with mat. They have different kits, pretty sure I bought the mid-level Pro kit, not the basic or Ultra. The mat has all the parts drawn out and makes a good reference, but I used various YouTube videos as my first guide. Having a block of 2x4 handy is good as well.
