By the sound of it...it really sounded like you were pretty strapped as is.

You made your offer, and it was countered.

Personally, I'd walk away and save some cash to put down on the next offer/house.

Not really strapped, just been putting what could be saving toward other things.

 

I mean it's not a bad idea to still have some decent cash on tap for house repairs that might pop up... Always gotta plan for dumb shit like that

 

Especially that.

Heck there's one house in my neighborhood that barely has furniture; they got the house but it was all they could afford

 

Probably jus sleep on it and wait, maybe it won't sell for awhile, probably for a reason but maybe.
Curious what it's actually worth though

 

It's worth whatever it sells for. That saying sounds fucked, but ultimately it's the most true

Did you get to compare it to anything similar that’s sold there locally? If you can find something that’s usually a good ballpark.

We put our down the same year we had our wedding

 

Not to mention whatever the home insurance deductible is. Even if something happens and it's covered by policy it could still cost thousands

My furniture is the result of divorces haha. I got lucky on a few sales where the wife was getting the house and the husband was liquidating everything inside it to spite her

 

Our realtor did something and get close to what we offered

 

This is me in my rent house. I've gotten a few scores these past few weeks on marketplace to change that. I'll be here at least another year or two and a properly furnished home makes potential housemates less concerned.

Those are the ones where the dude is 100% willing to help you load it, strap it down, and maybe offer you a deal on one or two things he didn't even have listed lol.

 

When I was a kid I had this dream of my future home being furnished entirely with bean bags, but honestly as an adult the idea makes my back hurt

 

Even the giant ones aren't very fun. It's weird as an adult buying a new table is exciting... I hate what I've become.

 

"Babe, we got company coming over. Get out the 'fine' bean bags"
